We LOVED our time at Greg and Cindy’s lake house! It was perfect for our family and exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Actually, it was better! The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we could have needed. From the kitchen essentials, to the variety of kayaks, to the amazing views from the decks and private dock, our family really enjoyed our time here. Our kids loved swimming off the dock (we did too!) and playing pool in the basement. Our pup loved jumping off the dock as well. The house is in a great location, quiet and secluded, but only a short drive to the cute Greenville downtown area with little shops, restaurants, etc. Greg was very responsive throughout the entire process and was quick to help with our questions. Highly recommend staying here! We can’t wait to come back again!
Greg provided great details. The place very easy to find located right on the water for our winter stay. Parking was plentiful, access to lake via neighbors yard made it easy for machines. We enjoyed a little pool, ice fishing and soaked in the amazing sunset views. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven!
The balcony on pool house, or veranda as I liked to think of it, was amazing. Felt like you were sitting out over the water. We were able to see the Milky Way several evenings and there is an observatory on the other side of the cove, for even better viewing. As others have said, Greg was fabulously responsive, house was clean and well stocked. You are a bit of out of town, so pack groceries appropriately, plenty of space to store. The thing to note is there is no AC. I somehow missed this. With cooperative weather and good use of the windows, breeze off lake and box fans, it’s very doable if inside during day. At night was often in 50s/60s so not an issue.Kayaking on the lake was doable 1 day as it was clear as glass for a few hours. Most days there was a nice “ocean” sound of small waves lapping which was super cool, gives you best of both worlds:)Would def return!
The property was beautiful! It was very clean and enviting with everything we needed to enjoy our three nights there. The host, was good at communicating and making sure everything was going well. We enjoyed it so much that we already have plans to return with our family.
As always this property does not disappoint. We were very happy to use the kayaks this time as there are few places in town that rent them now. We have been coming to Moosehead since we moved away from Maine years ago and have stayed here multiple times. The weather was perfect!
Our family had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful, well-stocked, and we were so impressed by how pet-friendly it was. The owners were very helpful!
Awesome, quiet spot for our fam of 4 pkus small dog. Kitchen well-equipped and grocery store is close enough by. Moosehead was a little rough for paddling after mid-morning calm, so we tried ponds nearby. Owner provides lots of tips and suggestions, and answers questions quickly.
We had so much fun at Beaver Cove! This home had everything we needed and more. Perfect location, super cozy, and the sunsets were incredible! Greg and Cindy were amazing hosts. They reached out with various tips before we arrived and were available for any questions that arose. We can’t wait to go back!
Just had a sensational week in a wonderful house. Could not have been more pleased with the house, outdoor space, lake views and owner communications. Only regret was no Moose was to be seen during this excellent week.
I rent camps on Moosehead quite a bit. I’ve probably stayed at 7 or 8 different VRBO/AirBnbs in the area and Greg’s place was by far the best. Greg was super accommodating and checked in frequently before and during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. The camp is spotless, comfortable, and in a great location. I plan on making this property my first choice from now on when staying up at Moosehead.
We had a great weekend stay at the house! We have stayed in several vrbo properties, but Greg's communication with us was the best. He gave us everything from where to eat, to where to hike, to where to look for moose! He also text us to make sure everything was going well. We had everything at the house and more! It was one of the best equipped houses we have ever stayed in. We hiked at Mt Kineo one day and kayaked another. We watched some of Greg's DVDs in the evening . Very fun weekend for us!

Diane was easy to work with, it was great she appreciated this was a vacation home and not just a rental. Left place clean. They are welcome back again.
Thanks Greg & Cindy
My husband and I took our 2 adult sons, DIL and 2 granddaughters on a mini vacation to this beautiful home for a much needed get-away! The kitchen was perfect with nice appliances and easy to work in. The living room and bedrooms were cozy with very comfortable, cloud-like beds. My favorite part was waking up and seeing Squaw Mountain! What a gorgeous view from the main and bottom floor bedrooms! The shower was amazing and the large bathroom was very nice and like the whole house, very clean. Although we did ice fish but didn't catch any, it was a bit too cold to stay out long with the little ones, so many games of pool, slapjack, Jenga and other games were played while warming up. Our whole family loved the layout of the house and gave us some ideas for a future possible build. Thank you Greg and Cindy for sharing your beautiful Lakehouse! We would highly recommend!
This spacious home was absolutely perfect, offering breathtaking views and the ultimate lakefront experience. We spent our days swimming in the crystal-clear water and kayaking straight from the private dock, then gathered around the fire pit in the evening. The host was incredibly accommodating, checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. We also loved how easy it was to head into downtown Greenville to enjoy the local restaurants and shops. It was an unforgettable Maine vacation!

About the host
Hosted by Greg & Cindy Bashaw
Cindy & I have spent our entire adult lives vacationing in the Moosehead Lake area. We love all the 4 season activities. We have owned a place on Davis Pond, 21 miles south of Moosehead, for over 20 years. We wanted a place with better year round access and closer to the hub of Greenville and Moosehead Lake. We purchased this lake house on Beaver Cove, Moosehead Lake and have made it available to share this special place with others.
Why they chose this property
Close to town 7.1 miles but still on the edge of the great North Woods. Easy year round access, direct access to Snowmobile & ATV trails. Amazing Lake Front with great views and sunsets. Comfortable, cozy, beautiful home with gorgeous wood beamed cathedral ceiling.
