PARKING: while not included with the unit, there is ample paid parking available at meters outside (mon-sat, sunday is free!) as well as multiple parking ramps within 2 blocks including one on the backside of the same building.
Guests will access the unit using a key & fob that will be retrieved from a lockbox outside the complex.
This unit is in the heart of downtown and in a large complex with other tenants. There may be times when hear cars on the street, emergency vehicles, people outside or in the unit, events, construction and other typical urban sounds. While we don`t believe it`s abnormally noisey, we do mention this in all of our downtown listings in order to provide full transparency!
PARTY FEE: Parties including excess guests beyond the amount in the reservations as well as abnormally loud groups may be subject to a fee up to $1000. We enthusiastically welcome guests who aim to enjoy the amenities while maintaining respect for our neighbors within the complex!
NOISE MONITORING: In consideration of our community of neighbors in this expansive complex, we`ve implemented a Minut Sound Monitoring device within the unit. Rest assured, this device does not record any audio; instead, it monitors decibel levels. As responsible hosts, our commitment to being good neighbors is reinforced by using this technology, which provides us and our guests with alerts in case sound levels exceed the appropriate threshold. It`s our way of ensuring a peaceful and enjoyable environment for everyone. If sound warnings are ignored, fees and loss of reservation without a refund are possible.
SECURITY CAMERA: There is a ring doorbell located outside the front door facing down the public hallway that records audio and video 24/7 for guests safety. If the device is tampered with the reservation may be cancelled with no refund.

1. Smoking and drug use are not allowed inside the unit or complex. This includes vapes, weed, or other illegal substances. There is a $1000 fine if discovered.
2. Unruly Parties are not allowed in this property, including loud music. There is a fee of $1000 if more guests than stated are brought to the property or because of excessive noise after the first warning/ neighbor complaints. Quiet Hours: 10:00pm - 8am.
3. There is a $50 fee per guest per night for undeclared guests.
4. If an excessive mess is discovered after your stay, you will be charged accordingly on top of the standard cleaning fee.
5. A lost, missing, or damaged key or fob has a replacement cost of $75 each
6. Check-Out Policy - Standard check-out time is 10:00 AM. Late check-out is not guaranteed and may only be available if there are no same-day bookings or scheduling conflicts with our cleaning team. If you`d like to request a late check-out, please inquire the day before departure. Requests made earlier will not receive a confirmed answer until that time. A fee may apply for a late check-out.
7. Check-In Policy - Standard check-in time is 4:00 PM. Early check-in is not guaranteed and depends on same-day turnover and cleaning schedules. If you`d like to request early check-in, please reach out on the day of arrival. We are unable to confirm early check-in prior to that day. A fee may apply for early check-in.
8. Everything in the home is inventoried. We will charge for any missing or damaged items.
9. Any cleaning issues must be reported within a reasonable time of check-in so that we can help resolve any issues you may have.
10. We do not allow packages/mail to be sent to the address you’re staying at. You may deliver to a local FedEx/UPS. We cannot help you to retrieve delivered mail.
11. You are booking with a valid government-issued ID and are not engaging in fraud or identity theft.

Very spacious with an astonishing view of the Capitol building! (The sunrise/sunset is beyond beautiful) This was exactly what we needed for a weekend in the city, walkable to just about everything there is to see in downtown Des Moines!

This property was a great place for staying when in the city! Its beautifully decorated and has wonderful views of downtown. The Host was great with all communication and very easy to contact if anything is needed. We will definitely look to reserve this property again, when in the area
We were in town for a fun weekend together to relax and catch up with each other. The place was perfect for our short weekend together. I wish we could have stayed longer on Sunday..
This condo was a breath of fresh air. Tall ceiling and lots of sunshine. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen clean. Felt like a home away from home. The view of the capital building was a fun little plus. The lock box to get into the building was a bit difficult, but once inside it was fairly easy. Close walk to restaurants, bars, and parking garages. Would stay again.

All the things in this unit is fantastic
Very neat and clean, fully equipped kitchen and bright bathroom to makeup.
The location is fabulous, just at the downtown Des Moines, few minutes away from Hy-Vee, which has various choices for fresh veges, fruits and meat and also bus stop is nearby, too, a very convenient site.
Of course my favorite place, Ballet Des Moines is just downstairs, only take 20 seconds from this unit to access.
I really enjoyed all the things, all the ways in the city and this units, great location, absolutely comfortable bedding, safe places with affordable prices and the lovely host Dan, who gave me so many good advices to visit and enjoy the city.
Highly recommend to stay here for your trip in Des Moines, I would love to come back and stay here in my future visit.
Check in was a bit challenging as we don’t get out much! The place is beautiful, clean and comfy. The neighborhood was a bit noisy and some loud drunken individuals kept my spouse awake . I slept through it. Great location so we could walk to Noche!
The condo was easy to check in and out of and was very nice and clean. Dishes were provided along with towels and a hair dryer in the bathroom. A laundry room was also in the condo available for use with detergent pods provided. Communication with the host was easy. Overall was a good place to stay.
Dan was great and quick at communicating with us. Dan gave us ideas for parking and places to see. Read the direction for check in and check out carefully which will result in easy entry when you arrive. Location is near restaurants and a short walk to the Cubs Stadium. The apartment with clean smelled fresh. We'd definitely stay here again!

We travel for the farmers market every Memorial weekend since 2019 and the hotels locally were just outrageous this year. Happen to check VRBO and this listing was available. 2 blocks walk to the market, few blocks to nice restaurants and parking. Secure entrance and convenient to the elevator. Space was perfect for us. Small but not too small but not big either. Four of us stayed and were very comfortable. Highly recommend this location
Nice, open concept living area was nice. Good sized bedrooms with high ceilings. Bathroom is a little small for sharing with four people, but that is to be expected in a downtown apartment. Good location with on street metered parking available right next to the building. Apartment was in general clean, but some areas could use a deep clean (older carpet and dusty baseboards). Overall, we enjoyed the space and our stay. Would recommend it to others.
Apartment is very nice on the inside. Large rooms with tall windows. Not all windows have shades on them so that was a little uncomfortable. Kitchen has limited cooking utensils and pots/pans which was a disadvantage for us as we were wanting to make meals. No toaster to be found also.
Location wise: entrance is not well marked and difficult to find. Not much for street side parking to unload your things if traveling with many bags/small children. There was a good amount of homeless people hanging around building but the building has double doors with FOB access that have 3 check points for security so that made us feel very safe.
Host was very accommodating and responsive. Would stay here again.
Overall great apt! Communication was great! Check in wasn't ideal- requested early check in- 1 hour, as we had an athletic event that started at check in. It didn't work out- which is fine, but getting keys late at night and being approached by a few men asking for money wasn't a good start. Floors/counters could have been cleaned better. I was told it was b/c I asked for early check in, but that didn't happen so I feel they could have done better. Section of a rug was a trip hazard- we put a chair over it, so we didn't go that way. Layout was great and spacious. Kitchen was stocked with pans and other items to cook all our meals. Location was great- walkable to hyvee and our events. Skywalk was a little tricky, one set of doors shows 'unlocked until 6pm', but was always locked. This property manager is always quick to respond- we will def be back.
