The Red House on the Sands has a spectacular view of Sands Cove where you can sit and watch the lobster boats come and go. Just a half mile from the ferry, this little house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and can comfortably sleep 4-6 adults (due to the close proximity to the water and the street, this property is not recommended for children under 8). Just a short walk or bike to town or Lawson's Quarry, you can put your kayak or small boat in the water right here, or simply sit and read a book. You can grill and enjoy dinner on the outdoor deck. There is no washer or dryer to wash clothes, and there is no t.v. which would have been nice to have when traveling with kids.Otherwise, the location was close to the town and ferry which was convenient. The view of Sand’s Cove was beautiful from the master bedroom and living room/back porch.
