J&D Hand Crafted Cabin

Kick Back, Relax and let this PRIVATE, QUIET, SECLUDED 5 ACRE Countryside cabin put you at ease. This fully furnished cabin is nestled deep in the Alleghany National Forest, perfect for weekend get aways or just needing a temporary place secluded in the woods. Everything in this cabin is beautifully hand crafted by the original owners. When you walk in you are welcomed by the cozy living room with a nonworking fireplace, large window that you can look out into the woods to see wildlife. The kitchen offers a bench seat, dining room table, tall counter tops, and a sink that overlooks into the yard. There is a reading room with books and games. This room can also be set up as a second bedroom with an air mattress. The main bedroom offers a cozy queen-size bed, double walk-in closets. The bathroom off the main bedroom offers a walk-in shower and a large vanity.

The cabin is within minutes to a hour from many seasonal activities. We only allow one pet in our cabin!
Please note there is little to no service depending on your carrier.
We provide a landline for local calls and emergency. We are unable to provide Wi-Fi due to the location of the cabin.
We provide dish soap, hand soap, and toilet paper, paper towels, towels, linens. You will need to bring your personal toiletries.

We also offer buckets of wood for $8 for our outside fire ring. Please let us know if you would like purchase any!
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Please place all towels and used bedding in the hamper in the laundry room.
Please gather all the trash and put in the bag under the sink.
Please make sure that all lights are off and the door is shut and locked when leaving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No Using the inside fire place
Please take your shoes off at the door.
Any smoking in the cabin will result in a $250 cleaning fee.

The perfect little getaway!

Picture really don't do this place justice. Its quite and secluded. Oitside your surrounded by trees and inside is just beautiful. Has everything you need!

We had a beautiful stay. Everything we needed was supplied. Rooms were very nice. Was very private with many deer coming thru at different times. We would definitely choose here to stay again.

Great Location

This property is in a great spot and we can't wait to rent again, however I might wait to do so until the A/C is fixed in the bedroom. It was quite hot for the summer time and there was nothing to offer except fans. Overall, the cabin is so cozy and the property group was more than easy to contact!

The cabin was in a nice location . We had deer in the yard every day. Since the cabin was carpet throughout, I didn't feel like it was pet friendly. There was no water pressure even after we turned on the pump . They might want to check into that. The pictures on line show a wood burner, but there is a sign in the cabin that states to not use it. We had a great time there all in all. Just a few things probably need addressed.
