Westwood is home to the Clam Chowder Festival, Paul Bunyan Days and Chili Cook-off. Mountain Meadow Reservoir is a spectacular kayaking lake and the area has lakes and streams with the best fishing and boating that California has to offer. Also, the Almanor area just 8 miles away has 3 spectacular golf courses. You also get a very responsive host that wants you to have the best stay possible.
