Violation of Privacy

While we admittedly broke tenant rules (more than 12 people during the day, vaping ON not IN the property, wiffle balls crossing into neighbors yard), we were subsequently evicted when I didn't respond to his text messages in a timely manner. While charging a dead phone and enjoying lake life, I did not bother to check my messages. For not responding to his texts quickly enough, he canceled the remainder of our stay, evicted us, and called police to arrest us as trespassers. When I did finally check my phone, I called him immediately to rectify his escalating texts. What I learned was he lives directly next door, and rather than walk over to address the unanswered text massages, he called police. It also became clear that from the moment we arrived, we were being watched as he sits on his deck or upper patio keeping an eye. If you value privacy, this place is not for you. Of the 17 documented "human bodies" we had on his yard and beach, 9 were minors, including my teenage daughter. He later told me what some were wearing and even doing. This is not OK. While we did break his rules, we were not raging, vandalizing, being destructive, or boisterous. We were bbq'ing, playing yard games, fishing and swimming, and celebrating with friends coming and going from another cabin across the lake. This is a great cabin, with amazing access and views. But if you value privacy, it is not for you. If you don't want your children being watched, it is not for you.
