Lovely and well-appointed renovated home for friends & families
A lovely home 5-10 minutes from good restaurants, downtown shopping, the waterfront park, golf courses, & wineries. A tranquil setting where we were thrilled to observe a doe sitting peacefully in the grass watching her 2 young fawns frolic & chase each other around the yard. The home has a modern, spacious, Scandinavian motif, yet is cozy & comfortable.The kitchen is well appointed - modern appliances, contemporary dishes & glasses, cooking & baking utensils, even numerous spices & condiments. There is a modern Keurig single-cup coffee maker on the countertop, plus a 12-cup coffee pot stored under the counter. There is no microwave or toaster, but there is a contemporary toaster oven available. The home does use a septic system so visitors need to refrain from pouring wine, beer, & liquor remnants down the drain. The home is shoeless, with a large foyer, a rack for storing your shoes & a bench to sit while putting them back on. There are 3-4 steps to access the main floor, and the stairs for the lower & upper floors, so this is a home that would not be easily accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. There is a large washer & dryer if guests are staying for any length of time, plus an abundance of toys & games for children. We were a group of 8 older women on a golf outing, so we were appreciative of 3.5 clean & spacious bathrooms, & plenty of beds that did not require us to climb into a bunk bed. Our group loved the home & look forward to staying there again.
