Beautiful and well appointed home

This house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for a beach vacation. The owners are super responsive and have thoughtfully included little touches that make for a very comfortable stay. The view are amazing from both the front and back of the house! Definitely a 5 star experience!

Pelican's Watch is a beautiful house. It has great views of the ocean in the front and the river in the back of the house. Ryan and Jess were very responsive hosts. They responded very quickly when we had questions or needed help. They did many little things to make the stay easy like providing extra towels and chairs to use on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Pelican's Watch.

My brother and I took our families and Mom to Caswell Beach for the week. The property was perfect! Everything was clean and in perfect condition. The area is beautiful and the beach was amazing with a very private feel.

Great Family Beach House!!

We had such a wonderful stay at Pelicans Watch! You can't beat the ocean front location, beautiful sunset views and the really well designed home. The open floor concept has plenty of room for gathering and the kitchen has everything you would need to prep meals. The decor and furnishings throughout the house are “Coastal Living” worthy! Beds were really comfortable too (for a good nights sleep after a fun filled day at the beach). We felt right at home at Pelican’s Watch and plan to return soon!!

Great family vacation

The house is beautiful and really comes with everything. Despite being there during the remnants of a hurricane, we had plenty of games and things to do, and were steps from the beach to enjoy breaks in the weather. We had room to all be together or could enjoy separate decks and bedrooms for quiet time. We had 6 adults, 3 teens and 2 kids. The owners were wonderful to communicate with, kept us up to date and checked in on us. The information provided was thorough and timely. This end of the island is very quiet, but an easy trip to anything you could need. We would definitely love to return. 💕

Luxurious Coastal Charm

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this stunning beach house and we cannot say enough great things about the experience! One of our favorite highlights are the incredible views coming off both the front and back decks. Whether we were sipping our morning coffee after breakfast or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset, each deck provided the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The beach is just across the street, making it easy for our family to run back quickly should we want to break for lunch or use the bathroom. The location of the house is secluded enough to feel private and peaceful, yet close enough to local shops and restaurants when we wanted to explore the area. The hosts are incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and luxurious coastal retreat. We can’t wait to come back soon!

Perfect Vacation Home

We love this home! We wanted to find a vacation home that was close to beach access, close to town, clean, comfortable and worked with kids. This home checked every box. The home is a short walk to the beach and also has stunning ocean views. It was clean and provides plenty of room to move around and for everyone to relax. Each bedroom has a full bathroom which makes it easy when getting ready and allows for more privacy. The beds are comfortable and felt like we were sleeping at our personal home. The owners also provide everything you will need. From kitchen utensils and cookware to beach toys, chairs and umbrellas they have it all. We had everything we could need during our stay. The owners are absolutely lovey and answered any questions we had as well as provided several recommendations for dining and entertainment. They truly take pride in this home and it shows. We will be making this home an annual visit for our beach vacations and couldn’t recommend it more!

Amazing

Our stay at Pelicans Watch was nothing short of amazing. The views of the marsh are some of the best I’ve ever seen. At any given time you can catch a view of all the Ibis feasting in the marshland or watch ships navigate the ICW and Cape Fear River. The house was fully stocked with every amenity you can think of. Each bedroom came equipped with a Smart TV and extra blankets if needed. The bunk room even supplied beach themed books for the kids. The kitchen had plenty of pots/pans as well as all cooking utensils. If you’re a coffee lover, they have you covered including drip, Keurig and a French press. Wine glasses galore and enough plates and silverware to easily accommodate the 12 of us. They even had books and a ton of games for a rainy day. The beach was only 150 steps from the house (yes, I counted) by way of the boardwalk located across the street. The owners supplied beach chairs, umbrellas, toys and a Shibumi Shade to use during our stay. Having a shibumi on a windy day made the setup and take down SO much easier. All you need is a little bit of wind and it goes up in a cinch (much easier than multiple umbrellas). I honestly cannot say enough good things about this house. The owners also supplied a list of recommendations for restaurants/other activities and were quick to reply with any questions. We can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home!

Why they chose this property

Privacy, comfort, and views! The only people who have direct access (with parking) to Caswell Beach are those that live or rent on the beach. Therefore, even in the high season the beach is incredibly quiet and peaceful; it feels like you have the entire beach to yourself. Beach tools and toys are also provided including a Shibumi shade, beach wagon/caddy, beach chairs, kids toys, etc. The home has smart TVs in all bedrooms, a washer and dryer, etc.

What makes this property unique

We are located directly across the beach access, approximately 100 steps. This makes your trips much easier, and also allows for multiple quick trips if you want t grab a snack or use the bathroom! We also currently provide six (6) adjustable beach chairs with a headrest and backpack straps, a beach wagon/caddy to take beach toys and other things to and from the house, three (3) beach umbrellas, an extra large Neso Gigante sun shade, and last but not least a Shibumi shade.
