Lovely and quirky basement apartment in a great area of the city. Anne Marie is a great host. The apartment had everything we needed. Loads of good restaurants in easy walking distance.
Perfect location, very quiet, cosy flat, very nice garden, the boat is very nice to sit in to enjoy a moment on the canal, and the host is friendly. Highly recommended.
Anne was wonderful. She greeted us and gave us a tour of her lovely apartment. The courtyard was beautiful and we enjoyed having our morning coffee out there. The property is in an excellent location within walking distance to many attractions. We loved our stay.
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. From the beginning, the host was incredibly kind and flexible, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The location was perfect for enjoying Amsterdam, and we loved coming back to such a clean, cozy, and welcoming place after a day of exploring. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
Anna Marie was amazing!! Very communicative and helpful! Her place is perfectly located and the facility is well equipped! Everything was very clean! We highly recommend it!
We enjoyed our stay in this quirky basement. It was the perfect location for our Amsterdam adventures as we were able to reach everything by foot. Friendly host, safe neighborhood, cute backyard and boat.
Anne Marie and Ruth are lovely people who have created a sweet home away from home that is perfect for a couple or a solo traveler. It is well located in 9 Streets, the best part of Amsterdam. You will love it!
We loved the place. The host was very helpful when checking in and throughout our stay. Everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet we were there on Kings day celebration and it was quiet. Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we’re in Amsterdam again.
As the other reviews say, it is quirky, but it was wonderful for us! The location could not have been better. Walkable from the train station and the bus station. Anne Marie was easy to work with and very accommodating. Ceilings are definitely low but not a problem for both me and my sister. Appreciated that we had use of the kitchen and the laundry. Loved being able to sit out on the boat! That was what sold us!
Conveniently located, quirky unit suited for two. Appreciated access to boat outdoors to sit and eat. Low ceiling, but owner has made efforts made to brighten up space with lighting and decor. Well stocked kitchen with lots of dishes and fridge and hot plate.

The location was awesome and convenient to food and transportation. The building was quirky, but musty. Needed airing out. Lots of spiderwebs around bed frame and dust on other collectibles. I highly recommend better pillows and towels, also a shower curtain.
Anne Marie was very welcoming and helpful, the space is wonderful, even has its own sauna, quirky, yes, but it is a brilliant quirky, location is unbeatable
Wonderful welcoming hosts and such a unique experience to stay in an authentic 17th Century home. We enjoyed the tranquil walled garden and sitting in the canal boat and the location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the major sites.
So Centrally Located in the heart of Old Town Amsterdam. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Ann Marie's amazing home for a unique and memorable lodging experience!!
