This newly renovated vacation home overlooking Pineapple Beach, St. John, and the British Virgin Islands, is surrounded by spectacular ocean vistas and cooled by constant trade winds.

Stunning ocean views fill the entire living and dining area, which expand through to the bedroom to provide 180 degree views of the Caribbean sea.

Furnished with impeccable taste and style, in a mixture of imported hand-made contemporary and antique pieces, ornamentals and artwork, the villa is replete with custom design elements of innovation and functionality.

A private terrace, right on the water, provides immaculate views of the sea, along with a secluded place to relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings and trade wind breezes.

VILLA EAST can accommodate up to 4 guests and includes a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, Flat screen TV with cable, iPod compatible radio, in room safe(for a small fee), pull out couch, and of course air-conditioning. The villa also has complimentary WiFi in the Villa as well as around the resort common areas.

The resort is designed in such a way that the units feel extremely private and serene. The Resort is close enough to the town of Red Hook for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. By far this is the most romantic, relaxing, and affordable vacation resort on St. Thomas. The villa really is just an amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all.

VILLA EAST, is not only in a world class resort with lots of amenities but the unit itself is set apart from many other units because it is the closest unit to the pool, as well as closest to the the waterfront restaurant and beach which prevents you from having to walk up and down the steep hills all day long. Picture perfect!

It is hard to beat the view and the location! We honeymooned at Point Pleasant 35 years ago and love it! Great private beach, pools with amazing views, great casual restaurant, and wonderful fine dining restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!

Place was priced fairly - nice view. we had two adults and two kids and it would be much better for 2 instead of 4! The beds were VERY uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. The main bed rattled when you moved and woke everyone up each time. Great location - we didn't spend much time there since we had a car.

There should be no worry for future guests about the bed, since the bed issue has been fully rectified. As you can see my reviews for the past 4 years are all 4 or 5 stars so please don't see this one review as the total picture. I always do my best to ensure my guests satisfaction and comfort and always try to remedy any concerns immediately. Unfortunately the guest never informed me of the issue till after the rental was completed so there was nothing I could do during their stay to try and remedy the situation. The villa is a studio unit with sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people. If you want a larger unit I also have a 1 Bedroom unit with the same great location and view, for a similarly competitive price!

Comfortable island home away from home

We very much enjoyed our stay and beautiful views of the water. The unit contained everything we needed for our stay. The host provided a lot of information which made staying very easy. It was nice being close to the pool and restaurant, however, the main pathway runs right past our door which made our stay a little less private than expected. I don’t want to complain, but the cleanliness and condition of the unit was less than expected as well. Overall, we are very happy with our stay.

Was a little disappointed when one price was advertised but once I tried to secure the reservation the owner informed me I would have to pay for 3 nights instead of 2 for him to accept. Once in St Thomas i asked if I could stay for the 3rd night I had paid for but was informed he had already booked that day...All in all - nice stay but I left feeling like I got the raw end of the deal.

Since I had an entire week open on my calendar, I had a 4 night minimum stay in effect. He wanted to book just the weekend (2 nights). I said I had a 4 night minimum stay but I would allow him to book 2 nights at the 3 night rate. and he agreed. The day before check out he asked to stay one extra night. A night which was already booked 3 months prior and was blocked off prior to his inquiry so it was impossible for me to extend his stay. If you have any questions about the nightly minimum rates please email me before booking and I will be more than happy to explain my pricing and reasoning.

Great Location, Great Little Villa!

A small, cozy but airy studio villa with a phenomenal view. When all the sliding doors are open on the wrap-around balcony (a feature that not all condos at Pt. Pleasant have), it feels like you're completely outside; it's just lovely! At night, the waves were my favorite lullaby. Only steps away from the lower pool and the Surfside Grille. Very hilly area, so lots of exercise just walking about. The condo is clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. Close to Red Hook for the ferry to the other islands (St. John's is a must-see for at least a day trip), and lots of restaurants and grocery shopping (Moe's is a bit more expensive than Food Center but such great treats to be found!) The only downside, and this is absolutely no fault of the owner (Alan, who is THE nicest and most responsive host!!) or Pt. Pleasant, but the music from the Margaritaville resort, located just down the bay, can sometimes be a bit intrusive. Same goes for Coki Beach, which is directly across the bay. If you like hearing music, though, then you're in for a treat. It usually ends around 9:30 PM.

As the guests mentioned, the music does usually end before 9:30pm. The music comes from across the bay so the music can be heard resort wide, not just in this one particular villa.

Unbelievable view in a great location

We had an excellent experience here for our honeymoon! The views from the wrap-around balcony are absolutely incredible! Point pleasant resort was a great home base for us to explore the islands, and this unit is located right near the water and Shoreline restaurant. It has a few good restaurants within walking distance (Shoreline, Mirador-great Sunday brunch, and Margaritaville) and is walking distance from Coki beach and less than 10 minutes to Red Hook as well as several other amazing beaches. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa East! The location was perfect. We rented a car (highly recommend) and although it's terrifying driving at first you do get used to it! From the villa you can walk to Pineapple Beach (which was okay but not great). A few minute more walk brings to to Coki Beach which is absolutely beautiful. The Villa had chairs that were easy to carry or you can rent them there. We drove to Megans Bay and Sapphire Beach and both are beautiful. (Bring cash to the beaches to buy food and drinks because most do not take credit cards). It's about at 20 minute or so drive to Charlotte Amalie which is a cute city with tons of Jewlery shops. The Villa itself was just like the pictures (very clean, good size and is very private). We slept with the curtains and doors open for the beautiful breeze. A few steps down is a pool and just below that is a bar and everyone working there is sooo friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Views and convenient location within the resort ...did I mention VIEWS?

So glad that St Thomas and Point Pleasant are rebounding from the double hurricanes, Maria and Irma. This unit is just a few steps from the lower restaurant (which has excellent food) and the trail to Margaritaville and Coki Beach. The unit is close to the bottom so you can hear the waves splash against the shoreline and watch the pelicans dive for their meals. The L shaped balcony provides somewhat obstructed by foliage views toward Margaritaville in one direction and unobstructed island views toward the east. We had outstanding , colorful, Eastern sunrise views while drinking morning coffee or evening wine in the ocean breeze. The queen sized bed is super comfortable with clean crisp sheets. There is plenty of room in the living area, a flat screen tv, cushy couch, oversized chair and large glass dining table. The bathroom and kitchen are very small but they worked fine. We cooked simple breakfast and dinner meals during our 7 day stay. The kitchen is well equipped with small stove, oven, toaster, blender, coffee maker and more than enough pots, pans, silverware, plates,etc. a large full size refrigerator, too. We rented a car but have been to Point Pleasant many times without a car. The owner has beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, beach towels and snorkel gear for your use. We were glad we had the car to take advantage of those items. The owner makes checking in so easy by providing a packet of info and the door code just days before you check in. No waiting in an office or driving to additional locations to check in. He responds to any questions immediately. There is a safe to lock valuables, internet and flat screen tv. We loved opening the floor to ceiling doors (protected by screens keeping mesquitoes out) feeling the cool ocean breeze and listening to the ocean waves and birds. At bedtime we locked up and turned on the a/c unit and ceiling fans. The stay was very relaxing and comfortable. The Red Hook Ferry terminal is under construction for a new parking building. There is NO place to park at this time due to construction so I would take the dollar bus or cab if you plan to visit St John. We took our car on the car ferry but had not really planned on that. I’m only giving 4 stars because the unit could use some minor freshening up, new curtains and shower tiles cleaned. Not too bad though. We would stay here again and believe the price is fair. The owner is wonderful to work with. I’m missing the sound of the ocean!

Beautiful Paradise!

We stayed at Villa East for 10 nights. The place was perfect. The views are amazing! The Shoreline Bar and Grill (which is on the property) has a great atmosphere as well as great food. I would recommend going to Smith Bay Park...the beach there is so amazing! We also went to the Marriott for some night kayaking. It was a lot of fun! I would highly recommend Villa East if you are looking to go to St. Thomas. Thanks Alan for sharing your home with us!

Amazing Stay at Villa East

We had a great stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful two sided patio right over the water. The beach in the resort is small, but we were usually the only ones on it. We didn't use the pool but it was beautiful. The restaurant food was amazing, I'm still dreaming about the crab cake eggs Benedict for breakfast and coconut shrimp for lunch. They also had a nice happy hour everyday from 3-5 with cheap drinks. This villa is also a short 5 minute walk to Coki beach. Not the best beach on the island, but amazing snorkeling and Alan provided two snorkel sets in the room. The villa had everything we needed, plenty of towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, coolers, full kitchen. Honestly, Alan has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. A couple minor items - the lock on the villa was tricky and got annoying to lock each time, but again, minor. It was also a weird dynamic being in a resort that offers hotel rooms but staying in an owner's villa. You can't use the front desk as you normally would in a resort. We called to rent snorkel equipment (the sets in the villa weren't big enough for my husband) and the woman was adamant that we couldn't even pay to rent a set because we weren't hotel guests. We also never once saw the onsite "shuttle" or golf cart. This meant we had to walk up quite a few stairs and a big hill to get to the main office where we could catch a taxi. I guess if you rent a car this obviously isn't a problem. We only used a taxi twice as we stayed on the resort for most of the time so it wasn't a big problem. Margaritaville is right down the beach, we walked over for dinner but it was overpriced and horrible quality - the restaurant on site was much better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Great condo and perfect location

My husband and I were in St. Thomas on a business/vacation trip. This condo was exactly what we were looking for- close to the beach, the restaurant, Margueritaville (?) and Coki Beach. Having a kitchen, separate TV/sitting area, and balcony gave us the space we needed for us to do our work and to put our scuba gear. We would defintely stay there again.

We were very impressed with the property and the view was breathtaking. The sound of the water in the bay at night was so relaxing. Without ever being on St. Thomas before and not knowing what part of the island to stay, I definitely picked the perfect location. The proximity to the best beaches, Magen's Bay, Smith's, and Sapphire, perfect!! And only a five minute drive to Red Hook which is great when we planned for other island excursions. Alan, the owner of our condo, was excellent! He couldn't have been better from the very beginning. He was so responsive when we first booked his place and helpful with recommendations. Even when we were there, a couple questions came up and he responded immediately. You couldn't get a better owner in my opinion. I'd definitely rent from him again!! I actually look forward to it.

Absolutely Wonderful

The room is exactly as pictured, the resort wonderful and the location couldn't be better. Alan has all the things you'll need to have a worry free vacation. Plenty of towels, a little cooler and a large carrying bag were in the closet and used every day. The major appliances worked quietly and the smaller appliances worked well too. One minor issue (not for me) was the hair dryer liked to overheat and shut off even though air flow was good. After a few uses my wife figured out the run time lengths and all was well. Would I recommend, even at the risk of this place becoming harder to rent in the the future, Absolutely!

Comfortable stay with great food and beaches close by!

Nice 3 day weekend at this property! Alan was great with communication and supplying all the necessary info to make sure we were able to maximize our short stay. We took his advice and rented an island car from Lisa at Zip Rentals. Nowhere near as fancy as a Hertz rental, but you'll understand soon enough why the little well used car fits right in. Lisa was a delight as well. The villa is comfortable and has a nice view, though a floor or two up with Alan's other unit would have provided even better! It was a bit warm inside when we arrived but as Alan mentioned, the AC works very well once you turn it on. Clean and well maintained overall. The villa is also situated just above the pool and Shoreline Bar&Grille. Our new favorite spot! Very casual waterfront but the food was terrific. We ended up doing both dinners and a breakfast there! The owner/managers Peter and Margarite are fantastic people and we chatted with them both nights. The town of Red Hook is a quick drive south for the ferry to St. John's or for some bars/restaurants and shopping. We weren't really impressed with our food at Fish Tails and were happy to spend another night at Shoreline. Everything is also closer than you think. Several beaches close by to the north and south, and it was a fun drive to Drakes Seat and Magen's Bay. Would definitely visit the property again, but maybe opt for Alan's top unit to maximize the view!

This unit was really nice. The view was AMAZING!!! We spent most of our time outside!! It also had a wonderful private deck. We spent a lot of early mornings and late nights there. It was so peaceful to listen to the ocean and enjoy the view. This unit is also really close to the lower pool, the Shoreline restaurant and Sugar beach. We found this to be an extremely bonus!! Some of our guest had units at the top of the hill and they found it to be difficult to get around by walking. The staff at the Shoreline was also WONDERFUL!!! We also enjoyed our short walks over to Coki beach. this beach was our favorite! Overall we were extremely happy with this unit! And the best locations of all other ones! We had a great time! And definitely would recommend this unit!

beautiful view of the ocean everywhere you look.

Our first impression of the place - Just Beautiful. The view was amazingly breath taking. The unit was very clean and welcoming. It had everything you need to cook in or if you rather eat out , everything was within walking /driving distance. Pool is less than a minute from the unit. Shoreline restaurant is a great place to have great drinks, grab something to eat in a relaxing atmosphere, while taking in the great views. We enjoyed both the pineapple and sugar beach, as well the Coki beach, which is within walking distance -less than 10 minutes away. Margaritaville Restaurant is close by. The town of Red Hook is a short drive, where you can access the Ferry to St. John or British Virgin Islands. There you can find great places to hang out at night and eat. Overall we had a great time and will rent again. Definitely will recommend the place to family and friends.

Why they chose this property

The resort is designed in such a way that the units feel extremely private and serene. The Resort is close enough to the town of Red Hook for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. By far this resort is the most romantic, relaxing, and affordable vacation resort on St. Thomas. The villa really is just an amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all. Also with 3 pools, a famous waterfront restaurant, direct beach access to 2 beaches, watersport activities center, and a nature trail, there is no shortage of things to do!

What makes this property unique

VILLA EAST, is not only in a world class resort with lots of amenities but the unit itself is set apart from many other units because it is the closest unit to the pool, as well as closest to the the waterfront restaurant and beach which prevents you from having to walk up and down the steep hills all day long. Being right on the water allows you to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the rolling waves. Dining outdoors on the private wrap around the terrace with views of St. John and the BVI is equally sublime.
