The cleanliness and the atmosphere of the home was phenominal. It was equipped with everything we needed and it was fun in ghe arcade. I will definitely be booking again!
The property could use a little updating. Especially the furniture.Communication is excellent. The property manager is next door and that’s helpful and beneficial. The hosts were kind enough to put a tv in the second bedroom for my mom. I really appreciated that. It’s not the Ritz, but the communication and accommodating nature of the hosts made the outdatedness of the property menial.
I had trouble with my VRBO so communication with owner was spotty on day of check in. Property manager was excellent. Beds were comfortable and everything clean. My only complaint is about kitchen. Even when turning down refrigerator it was so cold that produce and dairy froze. There were only 3 usable pots. I did all my cooking in 1 tiny non stick skillet, one stainless steel pot and a foil covered cookie sheet. The teflon has to go! There is a need for at least 1 mixing bowl. Measuring cups and spoons would be good. More silverware needed. 1 other hand-towel would have helped. Finally metal tongs, stainless steel spatula, and grill brush needed for outdoors.
My visit was about the love of family. I was grateful for the space that was 3 year old proof. It was also comfortable for my 89 year old mother and myself. The location was convenient and the house was cozy for cold weather. The house had all the needs I could ask for. Again, grateful for a family friendly house. Thank you.

It was quiet, clean, a nice little house. The price we paid for 3 days was very reasonable. If we should ever visit Detroit again I would stay there again
Happy to get away with my dog for some R & R. Close to lots of restaurants and parks to take him for walks. Owner had great communication. Recommend if you are heading to Detroit!

Go Tigers!
House was fine. Beds are very comfortable. Looks a little dated and old inside but fine for the small amount of time we were in the home. Owner did a great job communicating answering any question immediately.
I think you should put how many people can be in the house booked the house for birthday party and wasn't allowed over 10 people. I think I should be accommodated a night had to check out earlier

Getaway
The lawn could of been mowed no toaster but other that it was good
We were in town for a hockey camp for my daughter. The property was a good size for our family of 4. The kids enjoyed the games in the basement. It was nice to have a full kitchen since out family is gluten free and made most our meals at the house. Has a good sized backyard unfortunately we didnt get to utilize. It was in a nice central location for our needs while in Detroit, close to Little Caesars Arena and the zoo.
Overall we had a good stay. Had issues with WiFi connection until he came the next morning to fix it. The furniture needs to be replaced (outdated & uncomfortable, especially the sofa); pillows were extremely lumpy. I couldn't charge my phone overnight in the bedroom because the outlets are not 3-prong compatible. We appreciated access to the bidet but didn't like that it's a cold-water only system. We found various items left by previous renters like an empty plasticware bag in the silverware drawer & clothing behind the bathroom door but the most irritating issue was the stench of smoke throughout the home. We were under the impression that no smoking was allowed in the home and that the designated areas where it was allowed was outdoors. Apparently it's ok to smoke cigarettes and/or cigars in the basement but obviously that odor comes up through the vents and smells awfully strong.
This house was absolutely stunning in terms of being able to spread out, have lots of rooms, and was a impeccably maintained older house. There's a larger park that's about a mile away, so very walkable. The bus system has two main stops that are about a half mile away so if you want to get downtown, you can do so in about 20 minutes via the bus.
The only drawback is there's not too much to do directly around there in terms of restaurants/bars, which was fine for our stay but I could see that being a drawback for some people, as this is a bit on the edge of detroit and right next to a golf course. The neighborhood has also a lot of classic houses that are worth walking around to see as many famous people from came from the area.
Great place to stay. Host was very understanding and helpful!
