About this property

The Trillium Cabin | Hot Tub, Views & Game Room

Summary:

Discover The Trillium Cabin, a modern log retreat nestled in the ridges above Front Royal, VA. Enjoy a private HotSpring spa, spacious deck with forest views, and a two-story stone fireplace for cozy evenings in. Hike the Appalachian Trail, visit nearby wineries, or relax in the game room with classic arcade favorites. Designed for families, couples, and small groups, this peaceful mountain escape blends rustic charm with modern comfort.

The Space:

The Great Room —

The heart of the home is an open-concept living space anchored by a two-story stone fireplace and framed by large windows overlooking the mountains and forest beyond. Powered skylights bring in natural light during the day and can be opened to let in a fresh mountain breeze as the seasons change. Leather seating invites guests to gather for morning coffee or movie nights, while soft lighting and warm wood textures create a sense of calm at any hour. The space flows easily into the kitchen and dining areas, keeping everyone connected whether cooking, playing games, or unwinding after a day on the trails.

The Kitchen and Dining Area —

The kitchen is fully equipped for both everyday meals and special gatherings. Stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and a wide range of cookware make it easy to prepare everything from hearty breakfasts to relaxed dinners. Guests will also find a thoughtful selection of small appliances, including a blender, crockpot, toaster, and electric kettle. A fully stocked coffee bar—with both a traditional drip maker and single-serve option—ensures that mornings start just right. Meals can be shared around the large dining table or taken outside to the deck for open-air dining surrounded by mountain air and quiet views.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms Layout:

Main Level: Bedroom 1 (Queen bed) and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Second Level: Bedroom 2 (Queen bed) and Bedroom 3 (Full bed + twin bunk beds), with a full bathroom featuring a tub and shower.

Lower Level: Bedroom 4 (King bed) located beside the game room and lounge area, with a nearby full bathroom

The Loft and Game Room —

Upstairs, a small loft lounge offers a quiet corner for reading, journaling, or remote work, with fast Wi-Fi and views through the treetops. Windows overlooking the deck and woods let in soft natural light, keeping the space bright and connected to its surroundings. The loft has a relaxed feel, perfect for guests who enjoy a bit of solitude before joining the day’s activity downstairs.

On the lower level, the game room brings a different kind of energy. Guests can enjoy vintage arcade favorites like Pac-Man, Terminator 2, and Ninja Turtles, or settle into the recliners for a movie night on the large flat-screen TV. The combination of warm wood walls and soft lighting makes this space feel cozy no matter the weather. A laundry area and small office nook complete the lower level, making it easy to balance work and play during longer stays.

The Deck and Outdoor Spaces —

Step outside to experience the calm rhythm of the mountains. The wide wraparound deck includes multiple picnic tables, a gas grill, and peaceful views of the surrounding woods. Guests can relax in the private HotSpring spa, enjoy dinner outdoors, or gather around the propane fire table as the evening cools. The deck is a favorite spot in every season—from morning coffee among the trees to quiet stargazing once night settles over the ridge.

Beautiful winter escape

Beautiful home with plenty of room to spread out, and wonderful hiking trails just a short walk away. We enjoyed looking at the winter wonderland from the hot tub!

Girls trip!

We had an excellent long weekend at this property. The house was perfect for our group of 30-something women to have lots of common areas and private bedrooms, beautiful outside areas to hang out and go for walks, and multiple vineyards nearby. It’s about a 30 minute drive to get to grocery stores and restaurants and downtown type areas (which we loved, and you can door dash/instacart if needed), but great for relaxing, quality time with friends or family.

The cabin was beautiful, located in a very quiet and secluded place. The kitchen was well equipped. We saw wildlife every day. It was 30 min from the Shenandoah National Park. The hot tub was particularly appreciated after a long day hiking.
