Great Time for Family

We had a wonderful stay at Palms Porch, plenty of space for 10 adults, each bedroom with its own bath, nice hot tub and pool, great access to the beach. We went into Charleston about every day as well which was an easy drive. Highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

We have returned to this house for the past 5 years! It is beautiful and spacious for our family vacations. Every year we leave we sign up to come back! This house is a gem on the Isle of Palms!

This home is absolutely perfect for a large group. Plenty of space, lots of different porches, balconies, and nooks to enjoy. The decor is beautiful. It’s a fun, peaceful place to enjoy everything about the area. Terrific pool with spacious deck area. We’ll be back!

Fabulous house and a terrific location

Everyone loved the house and location. Our guests all enjoyed having their own bathroom and the room the house provides to spread out. Also it was such a short stroll to the beach there was no need to carry food or drinks down since it was easy to return to the house at any point for a snack or lunch. Would definitely rent again

Favorite week of the year

Our family, ages 4 to 67, had a wonderful stay at this our 5th year at Palms Porch. The house is beautiful with lots of room to spread out and everything you might need. When we could tear ourselves from the beach, we all took a kayak tour and some visited the aquarium in Charleston. Both great fun!

Beautiful home in a beautiful place!

Palms Porch is a terrific home for a large group. It's situated on a quiet street and super close to the beach. The house was very well maintained, had plenty of room and it was exactly as presented. We can't say enough about the poolside lounging. Great shade, ceiling fans, and comfortable chairs made hanging outside a no-brainer. The owner was incredibly responsive. We have been going to IOP each summer for years, and this has been one of our favorite houses.

An incredible week

The home looked fabulous online, but the pictures don’t do it justice. Incredibly spacious, well maintained and well stocked with the amenities for a great vacation. Maggie was a spectacular host in ensuring that we had everything we needed and very responsive to anything we ran into. The only bad part of our vacation was leaving. But we would definitely come back to this property.

Beautiful home

We have been renting beach houses every summer for the last 8 years. Never repeated a house, always a different one every year. This house was the best one we’ve ever stayed in by a long shot! Location is perfect to get anywhere in and around IOP and you can’t beat the 2 min walk to the beach. The new pool and jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. The house itself is extremely well kept and equipped with everything we needed and then some! Maggie was a pleasure and so attentive. For the first time we are talking about staying there again. Thank you so much Maggie we had an amazing beach week with the family!

Great Beach Home Close to Beach

This home is on a quiet side street, and a minute or two walk to the beach. We were greeted with a lovely "note" in the fridge. Smiles! Lovely home, furnished well, wonderful decks with views of the ocean. We enjoyed many an early evening on the front deck sipping wine while enjoying cool ocean breezes, shaded... ahhh, so relaxing. The beds were very comfy, bath towels plentiful, lots of beach gear provided for our use if needed. Kitchen well stocked for cooking and serving. We cook a lot on our family trips and a good kitchen is important. Took advantage of the local seafood markets while there. The owner kept in touch with us periodically, and made themselves available should we need anything. Great place, highly recommend.

Family Beach Trip

A fantastic house with room for our large family (7 adults, 4 babies) to spread out! Location to the beach with 4 kids under 4 (including a newborn) was key, and the pool was an afternoon bonus for all. Maggie the owner was so accommodating, kind & accessible. We’ve already reserved our week for next summer!!A couple of considerations : the downstairs is so well-appointed, like its own apartment… would be great to add a full-size stackable washer/dryer to the closet down there. Having the sole laundry room off of an upstairs bedroom was a little difficult. Our daughter was sleeping in there & with all the laundry bring done, it was an imposition having to enter through her room. Also the upstairs deck is amazing & large (with 7 great wicker rockers!), but there were no side/drink tables and the small wicker coffee table didn’t have glass, so we had to put our drinks on the deck floor. Again, just suggestions! We had a fabulous time & made the best memories!!!

Fantastic week!!

Family reunion perfection. Me, husband and toddler, my sister and her husband and two kids, our brother and our parents all went for a week and had an amazing time. The house is perfectly laid out and so beautifully decorated. Perfect areas for togetherness AND for privacy - little private gathering areas in various places around the house and decks, but with an open kitchen and great room for socializing together. Maggie answered all questions right away. Perfect for day trips to Charleston and for having cold gin and tonics on the porch in the amazing sea breeze. Kids had a ball because of easy beach access. The number of bathrooms was so key! We had such a great time!! Thanks Maggie!!

First- the worst of the stay - having to leave this beautiful home at the end of our week’s rental!!! Now to the best: Location- perfect- a mere two minute walk to a wonderfully, inviting, uncrowded beach. Quick drive to a major grocery store and a short and easy ride to Charleston (30 minutes or so) Space- the design of this home affords everyone can sit around and enjoy one another’s company while there is also plenty of space to take some quiet time. Pool- uniquely shaped and perfect for a leisurely swim or hanging with friends and family. The covered deck, equipped with ceiling fans, is ideal for those who want to be poolside and not baking in the sun. Amenities- stocked kitchenware, plenty of paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels) for a week’s stay, two donut rafts and now our donated lounge float, plenty of pool towels, hair dryers, and a wonderful outside grill. Beds- comfortable mattresses A big asset- this home’s wonderful hostess, Maggie. Texts were answered within two minutes before, during, and even after our stay. Her recommendations for restaurants and for a scheduled driver for airport transportation were spot on. Maggie and Michael’s hospitality and willingness to share their beautiful beach house is much appreciated. It is obvious that this home is very well taken care of & loved by the owners. Highly recommend this home and can easily see becoming repeat guests! Thanks, Maggie and Michael for a great rental experience!

Fantastic IOP Property - Highly Recommended!

Just returned from a very long weekend in IOP at this property and it was absolutely a FANTASTIC getaway vacation! The property was in a great location, only a half a block from the beautiful IOP beach. Everything we needed was there and the house was exactly as described - great bedrooms and baths, a well stocked kitchen with all the amenities and was very clean and well taken care of. My communications with the owner were always clear and the response time was great! Maggie was a pleasure to talk with on the phone or via email and she always responded quickly to all of my emails/calls/texts (Thanks Maggie!). Her recommendations for all restaurants were spot-on as well as her suggestions for key points of interest in and around the Charleston, SC area. We enjoyed visiting not only Charleston but also Mount Pleasant, including Shem's Creek, and the surrounding areas. Great time of year to go there in October and all of the couples enjoyed themselves immensely. All of us had our own bedroom and separate bath and this is a group of 4 couples that we travel with every year and we all agreed that this was a great location and well-kept home! I highly recommend this property for any couples looking to get away from the northern cold and enjoy the beautiful Isle of Palms beach and the fantastic restaurants that are in the area. Loved the recommendation to rent bikes and we drove into the main IOP area each day for breakfast and also enjoyed the nearby Marina Deli where we had lunch and a great breakfast on our getaway day on Sunday morning. Maggie is awesome to work with and I highly recommend her home. We will definitely consider coming back to this house again!

An excellent experience. One of the cleanest houses we have stayed in recently. Great communication with owner, Maggie. Good spaces, close to beach. We have stayed in more corporate rentals which wear poorly despite being only a couple years old. It is obvious that someone cares about this home and takes care of it well. I hope to be back in the future.

A week to remember!

Truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this home. It is absolutely gorgeous! The location to the beach is ideal! We couldn’t get over it. The house is completely stocked with everything you need. Maggie was fantastic to work with. She went above and beyond to answer questions and make our stay so wonderful.

Family Reunion

Beyond exceptional! Spacious, yet cozy, with all the amenities (and more!) of home. This beautiful property was well represented in it's description, and while the photos are great, there is a 'wow' factor when you are there. Everyone could be together, and just as easily have a spot to themselves. 2 min stroll to the beach (if that), quiet location, and still close to shopping and activities added to the experience. Communications and instructions with the owner were prompt and clear, and their recommendations very helpful. The only downside was that our time went too quickly. Any trip to Charleston deserves a stay at this home!
