Roaming Deer In the Historic Upper Canyon

Roaming Deer Cabin is located in the historic Upper Canyon. It
is within walking distance of the Ruidoso River but also just a
short drive from downtown Ruidoso and all the area has to offer.

you are unfamiliar with the area: there are restaurants, night
spots, hiking trails, varied activities for the youngsters, and some
interesting day trips that you may want to check out if you
haven’t been in this area before.
The side entrance under the covered carport has no steps making
it easily accessible for unloading your belongings. There is a
spacious deck on the front where you can relax and watch for
the deer that gave the cabin its name. You also may see the elk,
wild horses, and wild turkeys that visit the area on occasion.
The enclosed backyard has multiple seating areas, a gas grill to
prepare burgers or steaks for everyone to enjoy, as well as a
private hot tub and sauna. The enclosed backyard is also the

perfect location for your furry family members to join the family
while you are on vacation.
In the kitchen area, there is a coffee bar with a Keurig, creamers,
sugar and other sweeteners. There is also a selection of tea bags.
The kitchen itself has modern appliances and all the tools to
make delicious meals. There is a varied selection of pots and
pans, baking dishes, and small appliances such as a toaster,
blender, and waffle maker. The dishwasher will make cleanup
easy.
The cabin has a cozy rustic feel but also modern conveniences to
enhance your stay. The living room has a gas fireplace. There is
a Roku TV and Blu-Ray player. On the bookshelf, you will find
a selection of Blu-Ray and DVD discs for your family movie
night. There is also a cabinet full of games and puzzles for the
whole family to enjoy. If you are looking for a quiet interlude,
there is also a reading nook where you can curl up with a good
book.
There are two master suites with full baths. There is a king bed
in the master suite off the carport and a queen bed in the second
master suite in the back. Each master suite is equipped with its
own Roku TV. The sun porch has two daybeds for children or
guests and there is a half bath in the hall. The sunporch also is
equipped with a washer and dryer.
To ensure your comfort throughout your stay, there are two split
units to provide heating and cooling. One is in the main living
area and the other is in the first master suite. The second master
suite has a space heater and a window air conditioner.
