The Property

Step inside to find a cozy layout with the kitchen upfront, leading to a comfortable living room boasting stunning lake views and a deck for outdoor relaxation. Enjoy entertainment on the 50” TV or gather around the dining room table for meals with seating for 6. Retreat to the two bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed and ample closet space. The bathroom offers convenience with a shower, sink, and toilet. Additional sleeping space is provided by the sleeper sofa, accommodating 2 more guests. We have owned this property for a long time, and are excited to share it with others.

You have full access to the house except from some Owner's cabinet.

Interaction with guests: I am available through the app and by text or call if necessary.

Boats are privately owned boats and are not part of the rental.

We provide a starter set of supplies including dish soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, and dish soap. Basically enough to last a few days.

Cozy Lake Getaway

This was the perfect lake trip for us! We spent our time on the boat, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing off the dock. The home was cozy and had what we needed. We would love to come back again in the future!

The property was good. The rental was very clean and had ample necessities .The water is deep for fishing even though weather wasn't favorable .The only issue for us was getting to and from the property because of huge mud holes .Thankfully we had a four wheel drive.

This property is everything it says it is in the description. If your looking for a small cozy home with a million dollar dock and swimming spot, then this is the place for you! As described, it is in a busy boating lane, so be prepared for waves. We come to Lake Gaston several times a year and this home is now listed under my “favorites”. I recommend taking a morning kayak trip around the perimeter of the Lake. Lots of wildlife!

Weekend Getaway!

This lakeside property was just what we were looking for on our weekend getaway! The dock was the main event where we relaxed, fished, watched the sunset and was even able to hook up our jet ski. We already want to go back! Nancy was a great host and communication/instructions were clear.

Lovely

Cell service is very sketchy. Especially with AT& T. We had to drive about a mile to make a call or send a message. That is not listed on rental site. Host sent email regarding but we did not see email before payment made.The Lake and area very serene & quiet.

Cozy Lake House with good access

The location of this place is nice, but be aware of traffic that comes by the boat house. We carried two Seadoo's, which there was ample room for on the boat house dock. Make sure that you bring plenty of bumpers and protection for your ski, because if it's a busy weekend, there will be plenty of traffic with no regard to your tied up ski's. Wake boat, regular boats, whichever, there will be wakes. We are use to staying in an area that does not have so much of this, so this could have partly been our fault, not bringing enough bumpers for the boat house. If you are going to do a VRBO, maybe make the place a little more VRBO friendly. The boat house could use some sprucing up, nails poking up, boards that need repairing, loose cleats. The house itself is very clean, it just looks like someone from 1980 was living there and never left that age. Coffee maker had mold from what seemed to be weeks ago, which is not on the owner maybe, but just the cleaner. We had no trash bags on arrival, but was an easy fix with a visit to the store. The hot water heater needs replacing. We were just two people and found ourselves running out of hot water after the first shower. I think the place is a new rental, and it just needs to be more "lakey". Not trying to diss the renter, just trying to point out some things that could make it better.

Hey Jason, Thanks for the review, we take reviews very seriously, I agree the location is very nice. You are correct, it is a new listing, (Just went live) and we are making it better. Our cleaner did miss on the coffee pot, and that will not happen again. We will move the garbage bags to a more noticeable location - they were under the sink. Based on your comments, we have installed mooring whips and are providing extra bumpers for the dock. We always keep bumpers on our boats, so thought everyone else did. We did not notice any nails, or boards, but will do a thorough check and make all necessary adjustments. Thanks for letting us know. Our goal is to provide a great experience, and we look forward to making improvements to make that happen. Hope to see you again.
