About this property

We welcome your family to join us at The Russell Retreat, located in Lake Gaston Estates. We want to provide the perfect getaway for younger families, including your furry members.

The home is approximately 1000 square ft featuring an open kitchen/family room floor plan. The master bedroom has a queen bed with an attached bathroom with tiled shower. The nursery contains a crib, a dresser, a changing pad, toys, books, and a nursing chair. You will find a full air mattress, toddler cot, and high chair available to use in the closet. The additional guest room has a queen bed. A hall bath lies between the two rooms. There is a separate laundry room, small pantry, and a door to the back yard. There you will find a wooden Gazebo, fire pit and fenced back yard for your pets to roam. However, you'll have a difficult time choosing the backyard over the 18'x12' screened in porch at the front. Both are perfect outside spaces to enjoy your family lake vacation. The community provides a beach, private boat ramp, day docks, and waterfront playground.

Whether it's boating on the lake, reading on the porch, s'mores around the campfire, or a picnic on the beach, your family is sure to make lasting memories. We welcome your family to stay in our family's home away from home and experience the beauty and fun of Lake Gaston.

A Real Retreat House

Perfect Lake House without the Lake

The Russell Retreat turned out to be the perfect little weekeend getaway. We had to overcome a slight disappointment as we thought we'd be much closer to the lake for our fur-babies to play in the water, but the lake was not even in walking distance. However, the landlocked treasure of a house with the fenced in backyard and front porch was an absolute delight. Perfect place for our pups to roam and easy in-and out the two gates in the yard.

Great get away

My husband, myself and our pups came for a short get away/Anniversary. The home was very clean, mastresses were comfortable and it was very well stocked especially the kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet, the backyard was very nice with the bonfire, grill and swing. The owner was very responsive and a great host!! We enjoyed our visit and are definitely planning on returning next year for a longer stay!

Why they chose this property

Lake Gaston Estates is a very family friendly neighborhood. The neighborhood is easily walkable with beautiful views. The community park complete with pavillion, picnic tables, grills, and a beach area is unique to Lake Gaston and not found in many places.

What makes this property unique

We are a young family and have a hard time finding places to vacation that help ease the stress of traveling with young kids. Our home helps cut out some of that planning with a nursery. Toys, books, a changing pad, a full crib, and a rocker will hopefully make your vacation planning easier. We also offer a high chair and toddler cot.
