We had an amazing time!! Hosts were incredibly responsive, the place was stocked with beyond anything we could have needed. Access to kayaks and paddle boards was special and so fun to be directly on the water. Our dog was also incredibly happy with all the exploring and swimming she got to enjoy. This place is a gem!

Thanks Andy! It was great having you at the cottage. We're glad you had a great experience and look forward to seeing you again.
We enjoyed our stay - everything was provided and comfortable.
We definitely recommend the location - could go kayaking, biking, and enjoy the back porch every day.
We have stayed at the main house and now at the small bunk house next door. The location and the amenities at this property make it a great place to stay. We have stayed at a number of places on the Eastern Shore, but this one is by far the best.
Great place for up to 4 comfortably with easy access to Chesapeake bay. Dock avaible. Fishing kayaking included. Lots of private space and awesome WiFi!
We loved our stay on this property it was everything and more than listed.
Beautiful property peaceful and quiet.
Completely furnished with anything you could ever need.
The host was great to communicate with.
My daughter and I are planning our next trip.

Ann is the first guest in my six years of hosting Who I had to terminate for violating the rules and would never host again. The cottage was littered with cigarette butts, Despite a total ban on smoking and trash was strewn around. I gave her a generous refund although not obliged to do so and wish her well
John is an excellent host, very helpful and considerate. The cottage is well appointed, very clean and neat and is located on a little piece of paradise overlooking them a marsh on the edge of the Bay. It's quiet, peaceful, and we even greeted by a small family of deer as we returned in the evenings. No need to pick up paper goods, ziplocks, or plastic food storage containers because everything is right there, including a new Weber gas grill on the back porch as well as chairs to relax in and a patio table and chairs. The beds and pillows were very comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great! Big, fluffy towels and washing machine and dryer. It's a short drive over to Chincoteague but it's an easy trip through the countryside and we were able to leave the crowd on the Island each day and sleep peacefully at the cottage at night. John hooked us up with a wonderful local boat captain, C.L. Marshall, a knowledgable local with a passion for the community and life, and we enjoyed a trip to Tangier and to Smith Island where we ate fresh crab cake sandwiches and the famous Smith Island Cake of Maryland, for lunch in Tylertown at the Drum Point Mkt. We were able to book CL, Friday to watch the Pony Swim back to Assateague Island, because we got lucky and his group had an emergency and had to cancel. I can't thank John enough for his hospitality and guidance during our stay! 5Star Top Shelf host!!

Thank you Ann! We're so happy you and Valerie had such a wonderful time and thrilled you enjoyed the cottage. CL is a joy to be with and a wonderful tour guide. He had a blast with the two of you. I can't believe how much fun you packed in to a few days. Hope to see you again!!
The Waterfront Cottage is so comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The Cottage sits not too far from the water dock and has a spectacular panoramic view. The Cottage is well equipt with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. We plan to return soon to enjoy the area again.
Very nice studio apartment for up to four people, with boat ramp and dock. Owner was very responsive. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped with four bunks (plus a trundle), excellent air conditioning, modern well-equipped kitchen, bathroom and deck with gas and charcoal grills. There is easy access to fishing in surrounding bays and creeks, but at low tide the channel between the dock and bays is quite shallow (about a foot deep). The owner provided access to kayaks, paddleboards, tube, water skiis, plus crab pots to catch your own. Nice small island about a mile offshore with a beach. Lots of wildlife in the area. Take binoculars.

The quiet and scenery are spectacular. The cottage is comfortable and nicely appointed. Had some problems with Wi-Fi and access to kayaks but still a lovely get-away with our Labrador.

Lea, thanks for your feedback! We just installed broadband and it needed a tweak. Also, our cleaning lady was ill and feels terrible that she forgot to leave the key but came by to open the barn for you. Hopefully you found the kayaks!!! Come back again!!
Our family enjoyed our stay in both the House and the Cottage. The property was a very nice size and was very secluded and private making it the perfect getaway during covid times.
The cottage was very cozy and comfortable with plenty of space to relax and enjoy your vacation.
Our only complaint was the options for buying dinner which potentially was due to the time of year and everything not yet being open for the season.
We definitely would stay here again as we enjoyed your secluded family spring break vacation and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a similar type vacations.
The cottage is very comfortable and very clean. The views of the marsh are spectacular.
Communication with the owner was seamless, as was communicating with her support staff. Excellent!!

About the host
Hosted by John Niemiec
My wife Denise and I live in Willards MD a little over an hour away from the home. We love the outdoor lifestyle of the Eastern Shore. We enjoy fishing, crabbing and exploring the Chesapeake. We're excited to be your host for your next Eastern Shore adventure.
Why they chose this property
We found this home on VRBO several years ago and booked a stay each year. Over time we formed a warm relationship with the owner and when Susan decided it was time to sell we jumped at the chance. We love the area and its close proximity to Parksley, Onancock, Wachapreague and Chincoteague. There are countless places to eat and shop and the fishing in this area is fantastic.
What makes this property unique
The property is very secluded and simply beautiful. There are unobstructed views of the marsh and the Chesapeake. The cottage is warm and inviting and fully stocked. If there is anything we can do prior to your arrival to make your stay more enjoyable just let us know.
