Thank you for the kind words! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay
We had a great time, saw the white squirrel that roams around.Saw a mother raccoon with her 2 little babies so cute. The weather was changing from day to day, usual for on a lake caught a lot of fish from the dock.I highly recommend this property for just relaxing on the porch looking out at the lake or fishing from the deck.
We loved our stay. Owners were very accommodating and made our stay very comfortable and easy. They maintain the property and keep it clean! Would highly recommend.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit and hope you can return in the future!
Comfortable, relaxing lakeside home with hosts that really make you feel welcome.
Close to Tallahassee but far enough away to feel like you are truly away and able to enjoy nature and the peaceful lake setting. Well furnished rustic rental in a truly historical home.
We needed a quite place that we could use to visit the many State Parks and Springs within in easy reach.
Host family great to work with.
Look for white squirrels.
The host went above and beyond to make our stay the most comfortable. She is great with communication. The home is fully furnished from extra towels, blankets, comfy furniture, stocked cooking pantry including the fruit trees in the front yard. The cabin is a step back into time. It has all the modern comforts with bathroom and kitchen but the most quiet, lovely time you can have on the water. The cabin is waterfront with ample outdoor living.
The property was lovely and the house clean and comfortable. I really can’t say enough about Georgianna. She responded immediately to numerous questions and was incredibly accommodating around some unexpected issues with our trip, and went above and beyond in making things possible and comfortable!
Four of us stayed for a month. The house is large with anything that you need you’ll find. We had excellent communications with the host. Ask for where we can get firewood and received a pile of wood in ours. Beautiful sunsets every night. Would stay here again, anytime

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The pictures didn't tell the real story. It was not thoroughly cleaned. Had old food and clothes from previous owner. The second bathroom was located in an old unfinished mud room with no air. No wifi. Washer and dryer didn't work properly. The house smelled musty and mildewy. Would definitely not recommend to friends.

Thank you for your feedback. We aim to be fully transparent about our 1933 cottage, including the rustic mudroom addition and the intentional absence of Wi-Fi for a true unplugged lake experience. We are sorry for confusion -- the 'old clothes' is actually a vintage 1970s Mary Tyler Moore-style coat belonging to my grandmother displayed as historic art, and condiments and staples are for guest convenience. We rigorously clean between stays and verify appliances. We appreciate your input as we continue sharing our piece of Lake Talquin history.
Me and my family really enjoyed our stay at your home!!! The house was lovely and spacious for all of us. It was nice and clean. There were several places where you could sit outside and enjoy the view. The yard was well kept. The dock was clean and had enough space for all of us find an area and fish. Love the home!!!!!
