This lakeside stunner boasts 4 bedrooms (sleeps 9), 3 baths, a large kitchen and plenty of living space including a game room. A large well-appointed kitchen offers a beautiful view of the lake. The primary bedroom includes a coffee/wine station and allows you to enjoy a private screened deck with its own view. The game room includes a foosball table, dart board, TV and Pac Man. The house also includes a large wood deck lakeside for BBQ-ing, outdoor dining and relaxing. A screened deck off the game room is a great place to enjoy a friendly happy hour! The property also includes an outdoor fire pit, dock and boathouse. Lake Talquin is nationally known for its fresh water fishing tournaments, but there is plenty more to enjoy. In addition to vacationers, we have a large following of FSU parents and football families preferring to stay at the lake rather than in town. Shell Cracker Cove is located down a long dirt road and nestled among trees with abundant wildlife throughout the area. Bring your boat, small watercraft or kayak and launch them from a nearby boat landing. There are a variety of coves to explore along the lake's 20-mile shoreline. You can moor your crafts feet from the house at your own private dock. Plenty of hiking trails in the area. Book your stay today!

Host is very responsive. Beautiful property. My husband and I enjoyed our time with three other couples. Will definitely consider staying at property again in the fall.
We loved this place. Quiet, beautiful home right on the lake. We were in town for the football game, and we loved this place. It made us want to stay an extra day to hang out at the lake. Two years from now, we will rent this again when the game is back in Tally.

Hi Mary, Thank you for your patience concerning the issues that arose just prior to your stay and being so understanding.
The property was beautiful, as was the house! We loved the fishing, house dock, backyard fire pit and screened in deck area. My husband loves to cook as well as grill and the house was stocked with all the needed grill & cookware! The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We had a lovely stay.

We stayed here to enjoy the new year holiday with our family! What a wonderful find. Clean home, beautiful family-friendly layout, and stocked kitchen with everything you would need! Beds were all comfortable and game room was such a nice add for the kids. Such a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet and relax! The host has great communications as well. We hope to stay here again!

Hi Meg! I'm so glad the house and property afforded you and your family a happy stay! You were wonderful to host and I hope you return soon!
Host was very responsive. It was very easy to spend time with family. Great space for all. Could have been cleaner. The rooms and bedding were very clean but the windows were covered in webs and bugs. Had to clean the windows facing the lake for my family to enjoy the view. Some family members were uncomfortable with no window coverings especially in the bathroom with neighbors so close.

"Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay. I'm glad your family got to spend time together, however, I am sorry to hear that your experience wasn't what you hoped for, as we always try to provide the excellent stay we are known for. I wish you would have reached out during your stay concerning the bugs, so we could have addressed these issues directly. Lake Talquin is known for its bugs and cleaning them one day does not prevent them from returning the next. I certainly understand the frustration of having to put up with them. Reviews good or bad help us improve.
Great property with great lake access. The ramp was nearby to get the boat in the water and the covered slip was a perfect fit for our 20 ft pontoon boat. Anything larger would be tough to get in place but was perfect for us. And there was plenty of room in the yard for cars and the trailer. The house was set up great, and loved the fire pit.

Thank you for the wonderful review Charles! It was a pleasure to host you and your family! Hope to see you again sometime.
It was a wonderful house and location. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was thanks to the amount of spiders around the property. There was a huge web and spider on the front door when we arrived and many more throughout the porch and walkway down to the water. It was still beautiful and perfect for my family’s needs for this trip.

Hi Shannon, I'm sorry you had to deal with the bugs. We do blow off the house and docks before a guest arrives, but Lake Talquin is know for its wild life and by that i mean bugs! Those little pests can rebuild in a day! I am sorry though! Hope you return soon!
We really loved this home and property. It was very specious, and cozy, and was stocked with all the supplies you would need. We loved the screened in porches and amazing views of the water! It is so peaceful there, and we had our morning coffee listening to birds and enjoying the view. The kids loved the game room and we liked that they had their own space. The owner has great communication. We cant wait to come back.

Thank you for the wonderful review! I agree the property is a great place to hang! Hope you come back soon!
This VRBO rental was literally shelter for us from Hurricane Milton, which made landfall a few miles from our hometown. Clean, comfortable, and cozy, we truly loved our stay at this lake house. Quiet, safe, and relaxing. Our pupper loved the large yard and we enjoyed our favorite pastime of birding from the comfort of the screened porch. We also took advantage of Apalachacola State Forest for some great hikes. Wonderful experience.

Spacious house, could use a refresh
The house has ample space for 3 adult couples and a teenager. Kitchen was well-appointed. House shows wear and tear throughout- needs some TLC. Located on a dirt road, backyard property is off of a slough, with the lake in the distance. Owner is very local & pleasant to work with.

Hi Lyn, I wish you had specified in your review what wear and tear you are referring to. The house was updated last year and we have it professionally cleaned after each stay. Yes, there is a lakeside yard that leads to the dock and lake, but it is shown in pictures before you book. I did enjoy speaking with you throughout your stay which noted no issues, and regardless, thank you for booking.
Wonderful. Exactly as describe. Clean and' spacious. 8 family members for 3 night stay. Dec. 15 - 18. Comfortable beds. Great deck right on lake. Game room, BBQ, and fire pit a big plus. Melissa was always ready to answer any questions. Our next visit I would be more than happy to stay here. Book it and enjoy!

Thank you Patrick! I enjoyed hosting you all! You seem like very nice people and I welcome you back anytime!
We stayed here with my son and 2 young grandkids and it was an awesome getaway! The house was clean and had a great floor plan for our family. The kitchen was probably one of the best appointed kitchens of any VRBO that we have stayed. We cooked a lot at the house and always had everything we needed to prepare and serve our meals. There were so many places to relax in this home and at the water that we didn’t feel like we had enough time to enjoy it all. The dock was nice for fishing with the kids and we caught a few fish. We enjoyed watching the turtles and even saw a little gator! The sounds of the birds in the morning was so soothing! The kids loved the game room and bunk beds and there was definitely plenty of storage in the house for our belongings. We will definitely come again!
