As advertised, very nice house, good neighbors, short walk to the train station and town. Worked well for a group of six adults. Will consider this house again on the next stay.
I came to visit for a train trip with the adults in my immediate family. The place was a perfect location and just right for entertaining, making dinner, playing games, and sleeping. Easily accessible and convenient bedroom and bathroom access on main level. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful time at the Rockhouse! We were up for a gymnastics event at Harrah’s and needed somewhere that would fit our family of 5 and both sets of grandparents. This fit us perfectly! The kids absolutely LOVED the bunk room and the games. When we were at the house, they’d disappear to that room until we called them downstairs. The kitchen was great and roomy enough for all 3 of us ladies to get in there. I do want to let others know since we didn’t until we got there: the two queen rooms are on the main floor and have glass French doors between them. They are covered but it still made for an awkward feel for the two sets of grandparents to sleep. They made it work and we had a great time. I just wanted to point that out since it’s not obvious in the pictures or description. They do have their own doors to exit to the rest of the house. The owner is fantastic and easy to communicate with. We had to miss our first night because our gymnast came down with something, but thankfully she recovered quickly and we were able to come for the rest of our stay. Then a small kids’ purse got left behind and the owner was so kind to locate it and nail it back to us, making my daughter’s day! It was a great place to stay that worked for all of our needs!
We were pleasantly surprised by this amazing house. It was stocked with everything we needed and even had a Christmas Tree for our December stay. The beds were comfortable and rooms were large. The kitchen was well stocked and the entire house was very clean. The house is a short walk to everything in downtown Bryson City. We didn’t even have to turn on our car the entire trip! If you are visiting the area, I highly recommend this house.
Your home was perfect! The grandkids loved spending time together. The home was a perfect size. We sat and watched Christmas movies, walked down town and toad the Polar Express. The kids loved the little game room. The location was great, we never got back in the car until time to go home. Thanks for allowing us to stay. We will come back.
Great cottage home in walking distance to downtown
We loved our stay in Bryson. We enjoyed waking up and taking a short stroll downtown for coffee/food. The home is nicely furnished and fully stocked. We had a little trouble using the keypad to get in but the property manager is quick to respond to help with any issues.
