Swim from your private dock and beach, and unwind each day in the hot tub on the deck, at this classic, waterfront home on shimmering Thompson Lake. Whether you're outside on the deck, dining on the screened porch, or telling stories around the firepit at night, this is a place for taking in gorgeous sunsets and listening to the haunting call of the loons.
This three-story home sits on 12+ wooded acres on the eastern shore of Thompson Lake, where it boasts 335 feet of frontage for your enjoyment. The professionally landscaped grounds slope down to a small sandy beach, an elevated deck on the lakeshore, and a deepwater dock with stunning views of the lake and Megquier Island. You'll feel worlds away, yet you'll also be an easy drive from Sebago Lake, Portland, the Jetport, and nearby golf courses and ski areas.
Stepping inside, you'll find that the lake is always present - from the expansive primary suite to the living room, dining room, and kitchen with their banks of windows and glass doors. Bring your coffee and breakfast outside to the screened porch each morning, use the gas grill to barbecue on the deck at lunchtime, and keep things cozy in the evenings in the hot tub and around the firepit.
After an unforgettable day spent swimming from the lake float and fishing for landlocked salmon, you can toss your swimsuits and towels in the washer/dryer and pile on the living room's soft sectional to stream your favorite movies. With six spacious bedrooms, there's room for the entire family - and even a desk overlooking the lake in the primary suite if you need to keep one eye on work. You'll also be near a casino and brewery!

We loved the location; very quiet and relaxing. The only things we struggled with was lack of heat on the bottom floor and vanity lights not working in one bathroom. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay!

Amazing stay!
We loved the house. It was very clean and the view was incredible! Can’t wait to go back!
We had a great time on the lake - swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking. The house had lots of beds with different configurations which helped with the 6 adults and 5 grandchildren.
Beautiful spacious home! We enjoyed the kayaking, the loons, spotted a bald eagle on our kayak. The fire pit was beautiful as was the dock. plenty of outdoor space for seating, including the screened in porch. The property management team was very responsive and helpful. Looking forward to returning!
Great location, lots of space in the home. Kitchen stock was acceptable, not outstanding. Plenty of towels. Garage is pretty smelly so we didn't use it. Local contact was very helpful when we had a couple questions. Thompson Lake has lots of rocks - be wary if you're boating.

Perfect lake house
We swam and kayaked every day in our stay. The lake is pristine and the loons appeared several times and were calling regularlyThe house was perfect for our group of 7 and there were several unused beds, so room for more Grill was large and efficient, kitchen was also great Location was also greatWe have enjoyed 6 Maine lake houses over past 5 years and this was the bestVacasa is not yet perfect as I think they use chat bots/ AI and they twice gave incorrect info There are two kayaks and life jackets as well,as swim noodles and rafts. The dock was perfect for early mornings, swimming and just hanging out . The swim platform was also very good

Terrific house but Vacasa is not near perfect
Everything about the house and location was terrific. We swam and kayaked every day and the lake was incredible, as were the loons. The bedrooms and bathrooms easily accommodated 7 guests and there were several unused beds
There were a lot of beach towels, swim noodles rafts and 2 kayaks with life jackets. However, Vacasa twice said there were no kayaks. I am guessing it uses chat bots/AI to respond to inquiries.
Located near Hannafords,Dunkin and other stores anyone would need
I highly recommend this house as it may be the best lake house we have been two over past 6 trips to Maine

Very relaxing and accommodating stay
My husband and I brought our six friends and their two dogs here. We could have easily fit more people but we were happy with the extra space. I loved that ever bedroom had it's own lake view.
We enjoyed all the house had to offer, including kayaks and floats, dog bed, fire pit, hot tub, grill, both the screened in and outdoor porches, comfy living room and (count them) two refrigerators. We rented a pontoon from the local marina and had a blast boating on the relatively quiet but large and crystal clear lake.
Some of the fixtures are worn, and the glassware isn't very versatile, but the house was clean and had everything else we needed, including lots of storage. Also, the view is amazing, especially at sunset. Listen for the loons!

Hi Jennifer. Thanks so much for your thoughtful review! It sounds like you and your group had an amazing time, and we’re glad the home’s space, views, and amenities made for a fun and relaxing stay. We love hearing you took full advantage of the lake access, fire pit, hot tub, and even got out on the pontoon! We appreciate the heads-up about the worn fixtures and limited glassware. We’ll pass that along to our local team for review. We look forward to having you again in the future.
We've rented many houses on lakes in Maine and NH and this was one of the best all around. The house was large enough for our 3 families (9 people) with room and beds to spare. Thompson Lake is magnificent and clean. The property appeared to be new to the rental market so a few minor glitches, but nothing of concern. A "starter kit" of tp, a paper towel roll, a tiny dish soap is provided, but you will need to bring or buy more. No s&p or spices at all. Coffee maker takes ground coffee. A Hannaford market and dollar store are 10 minutes' drive. Also bring towels for the lake. We rented a pontoon boat and tube at the Thompson Lake Marina and had a blast. We enjoyed the two kayaks and the hot tub. For a change of pace you might want to visit Goss berry farm and the Mechanics Falls flea market. Best ever Maine whoopie pies at Kindred Farm Bakery & Market in Casco!
