Couples can reignite the flame, outdoor enthusiasts can hike, bike or kayak, gals that want girl time can shop til they drop, guys that love to boat, fish, and golf can, and for everyone else in between you'll feel at home while staying in your cottage on 3 acres in gorgeous Door County, Wisconsin. Walk to the Village, restaurants, coffee shop and wine bar. Art enthusiasts will find galleries while history buffs will find museums down in the Village. Driving range, short course and full golf course is a 2 minute drive. Boat ramp, kayak launch and public beach all within a few minute walk. Don't forget to plan for sunsets on the beach.
This cottage is one half of a duplex that sits right next to the creek that runs through our property. It has a king size bed, closet, dresser, nightstands, lamps, USB charger, and bedroom is carpeted. The living room and kitchen have laminate flooring. The living room has a fire place, cable television, comfortable chairs, a foot stool. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a drip coffee maker, microwave, hot water kettle, stove, fridge, toaster. Cottage has heat, AC and table fan.
The bathroom includes a sink, ADA height toilet, and stand up shower with shower wand. This shower** is tight and is not ideal for people of larger stature (height and/or weight). The shower is not wide enough to bend over to shave legs. **this is a warning so that we do not receive complaints about the shower size.
Safety features in this cottage include: smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector, night light, emergency flashlight, fire blanket.
SECURITY CAMERA DISCLOSURE: A camera pointed at our garbage dumpsters to stave off illegal dumping by non-guests. A camera pointed at the office driveway to monitor guests arriving for check-in. There is a camera on the main house pointed at the live/wood firepit for safety reasons.

About the host
Hosted by Ruann Larson

The history of the property you will stay at on your vacation is rich. The Ephraim Village Cottage property was originally owned by Daryl's grandparents and was part of the Larson Cottages property that is seen from the highway. In the late 60's Daryl's dad, Roger, purchased the piece of land that faces Larson Lane, where the Meadowview Cottages sit, and with Daryl's mom Norma, created what was called Meadowview Cottages until the buyout in 2006 by an investor who turned the property into Ephraim Village Cottages.
In 2019 Daryl had the opportunity to bring the property back into the Larson family and on March 5, 2020 it became official. He is now the third generation owner of the small resort.
Daryl and Ruann live on the property full time as owners and as your hosts. Daryl has a lifetime of hospitality experience raised on the property and then managing the property for the investor. Daryl also served as a US Marine. Ruann is a sign language interpreter by trade and uses her craft to communicate with deaf guests during the vacation season and via remote work during the off season.
Seeing families with children, couples, and friends enjoy their "backyard" on vacation brings them immense joy. The sounds of children playing on the playground, friends laughing around the firepit, family reunions gathering for a picnic, and smelling delicious food barbequeing on the grills makes the resort come alive in the spring, summer, and fall. Then in the winter the whole property beds down under a blanket of snow for a long winters nap while Daryl and Ruann think about and put into action plans for upgrades to the cottages and improvements to guest amenities.
Welcome Home to Ephraim Village Cottage. You are now family.
May your stay be in a peaceful and secure dwelling in an undisturbed place of rest. Isaiah 32:18.
