The family was looking for a mountain retreat where we could enjoy a family Thanksgiving get together. We found it at this location. It had everything we were looking for ie Mountain View, comfortable cabin and close to shopping. We would highly recommend this location you won’t be disappointed.
Great cabin up and away from everything. Easy drive to Asheville & Cherokee. Rented with some couple friends and it worked out perfectly with the bedrooms being spread out on different levels. Only thing I didn’t like is we ran out of time and didn’t get to use the fire pit, ha!

This was a beautiful and spacious cabin in the mountains. The views were amazing overlooking Maggie Valley. Plenty of rooms, showers, space for 3 families and kids. We all had an amazing time and would love to return!
Views are spectacular and cabin did not disappoint. We attended the Thunder in the Smokies motorcycle rally and even though the gravel drive up for the last mile or so was steep in spots with narrow turns we actually were having fun as it brought us back to our dirt bike days. We were on 800-900cc bikes and managed fine but the larger cruisers I would caution on this one.

Reviewer Comments:
Timber Top Lodge was cozy. The drive up is a little slick. Some road maintenance could be done. The house had most of what we needed. You are required to bring your own personal supplies, paper products, personal shampoo, soap etc. House appears to need deep cleaning. Location was convenient to Maggie Valley and Waynesville. An instruction book would be nice on how to work heater downstairs and living room fireplace. Remote did not work for fireplace. The porch was nice and large, has a good view. Did not use hot tub so can't comment on that. Beds were comfortable, master requires a step stool to get into bed, so may not be convenient for everyone. Owner has control of AC, heat unit, so had to call and ask for them to turn heat up, as it was quite cold. The lower level was good for pool and foosball.
Great getaway that is close to so much. We saw waterfalls, beautiful rivers, and great small towns.
