Nice place- comfortable, close to town, nice backyard with a fire pit and a hot tub on the deck. Pet friendly.

The apartment itself was excellent, and I had no issues with the stay.However, I was disappointed with the handling of an item that the Waynesville church gave me to create healthy food for children in less advantaged areas (for school lunches) and that I accidentally left behind—a 48-muffin pan that had been given to me for charity work. I contacted the manager to ask if it could be retrieved, or alternatively, if it could be held for me should I book the property again.That way, there was going to be no extra work done by anyone to retrieve it or send it. Unfortunately, I did not receive a clear response to this particular request.I understand that policies may limit what can be done, and I was willing to go over there again and save the extra charges, but I would have appreciated clearer communication and a bit more flexibility given the circumstances. For those of us involved in charity work, even small items, as well as small gestures, matter.

Typically, if something is lost, we look to retrieve it for the guest and if located can ship it out to you for a nominal fee plus shipping & handling. For the item in question, we believe the cost to retrieve and ship it out to you exceed the item value, and you mentioned you would try to retrieve it on your next visit with us.
