My kids, grandmother and I stayed for a quick trip. It was so convenient and nice. The three beds in the 2nd bedroom was perfect for us my two kids and I. The master was nice and living space felt spacious for the four of us. The location can't be beat steps to the Funitel.
The location and size of condo were perfect for our family of four (it would be small for more than 4 adults/teens). Upon arrival we discovered one of the sliding glass doors for a shower was missing. I reached out to the owner and she was quick to respond and explain this had been broken by a prior guest. I would have appreciated knowing this in advance and not left to discover it and deal with water all over the floor every time the shower was used. She did schedule a light clean mid week (a nice gesture) but it hardly made up for the inconvenience. It's worth noting the location can't be beaten but the condo could be cleaner (used ear plugs and hair accessories behind the nightstands and mildew/mold around base of shower).
We were four friends who also know each other through work - there for a weekend work-related gathering and series of events. The place was perfect, amazing location for snap in and ski and also close to apres and village dinner, well furnished, good kitchen, nice bathrooms, enjoyed the deck, fireplace and even a jacuzzi. Owners were gracius, accommodating, and responsive. Will be back!
Great location and plenty of space! The condo is roomy the kitchen is very well equipped and there are plenty of extra towels, making it easy to feel at home during the stay. While the unit shows some signs of age, it’s still comfortable and functional. It can get a bit too noisy at night from the bar right below the unit, but if you're out enjoying the area or not too sensitive to sound, it shouldn’t be a major issue. Overall, a good stay in a very convenient spot.
The place was great, it could not have been closer from the ski lifts. We have stayed in other properties in the same development but this was the best, with a nice view of the mountain.
The host was super helpful and responsive.
We will definitely look up this property if we get to ski in this area again.
My family & absolutely loved this condo. any closer and you're sleeping in the Funitel gondola! Gorgeous views, excellent size, love the kitchen & 2 bedrooms 2 bath set up. Extremely quiet for sleeping, and walking distance to all the restaurants, pubs, and breakfast places. Owner couldn't have been nicer in getting us set up there, not that there was much to really do, check in was seemless. Our first time at Palisades, and we can't wait to get back there
Great condo with convenient location and lovely view
Our family had a wonderful stay enjoying the summer weather at Squaw. The condo is clean, nicely furnished and welcoming. The bunk bed room with trundle is the perfect spot for kids, yet the lower bunk could easily accommodate a couple if it was just adults staying. We hope to be back.
The host is an excellent communicator! The arrival and departure instructions were very clear, and the unit was exactly as I expected it. The layout of this particular unit is excellent for 2 adults and teenagers - we had plenty of space! The furniture is in good condition, the unit is clean, and the kitchen had everything that I needed. The accessibility to the tram and lifts can't be beat - we will return during ski season!
Fantastic location - perfect location for our Spring Break (four days of skiing) at Squaw Valley. Central location right next to the lifts and across from Starbucks and lots of food options. Clean place and well equipped. Would highly recommend and stay here again.
The condo is in perfect location for a true resort vacation. No need to get in car for anything. Steps to gondola, multiple restaurant options, and deck for endless people watching. WiFi was great for work. Jolene was a terrific communicator. We’ll be back!
We just had the most amazing weekend at this property. Everything was located near by and we skied some fabulous snow. The owner was a huge help in giving suggestions for these interesting times. I hope we can get back up there again soon!
Thanks!
This condo was extremely convenient to get to the lifts in the morning. This was awesome in terms of carrying gear from condo to lifts and being there before they opened so you could be one of the first on piste! It had everything we needed, but we mostly ate out, so we didn't need much in the kitchen. It had a lot of board games, which took up most of the master bedroom's bedside table storage space, so there wasn't a lot of storage for our clothes. We also would have liked having a boot dryer or 2 in the unit. Laundry facilities in all the Olympic Valley condos are shared, none in units. So if you need to do laundry, bring quarters.
Hot tub was a walk to the other building--you could go through the garage or outside, but it feels weird to wander through the Village in your towel & swimsuit so we mostly went through the underground garage.
The common area was comfortable, especially the couch. We had fun hanging out there. The couch would be a comfortable place for people to sleep on if necessary.
The unit, especially the 2nd bedroom, was loud until 9-10PM since it's right above a couple pubs--not great if you have kids who sleep early and lightly. The noise was definitely noticeable in the master bdr as well--wait for the pubs to close or wear earplugs! Light also came into the bedrooms from the slopes even with the blinds closed in the 2nd bdr, so sleep masks were in order there.
I would also say that the unit needs updating--we noticed carpet fraying, older appliances/counters in kitchen & bath. If you pick this place, it's because of its amazing location next to the slopes (and Starbucks, actually) as well as the many many boardgames.
What a fantastic place for our family to experience our first White Christmas! The apartment worked perfectly for the five of us and you simply can’t beat the location. While most people were still trying to get out of the car park after a full day of skiing, we were already sitting in front of the fire warming our toes!
