Sapphire Beach is just a few steps out your door!!!

This flat is the newest of our little gems of the Carribean! The unit has been completely remodelled throughout including all new kitchen, bathroom, floor tiles, drapes, furniture, natural carpets and bedding. It includes two large screen wall mounted flat screen televisions as well as a new all weather wicker outdoor dining set.

This flat lies 20 yards from the beautiful turquoise waters of the Carribean. You have completely unobstructed views of the waters edge! Step right off the covered patio into the sand and relax in one of the lounge chairs located in front of the unit. This unit is located in the center of one of the best swimming beaches on St. Thomas. There is a volleyball net to enjoy a game or just relax under one of the beautiful trees at waters edge sipping a chilled cocktail. The view from the patio is breathtaking as you listen to the waves breaking nearby. This unit is also a very short walk to the two-tiered pool that overlooks the ocean.

The flat is located at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina. Sapphire Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and snorkeling is great throughout the resort. There is a full service marina on the property that rents jet ski's, parasailing excursions, as well as charters to the British Virgin Islands. This is all located just out your back door! In addition, there is a dive shop on site that provides snorkeling equipment and kayaks.

The small town of Redhook is located less than a half mile from the unit where you will find many bars and restaurants including the famous 'Duffy's Love Shack'. In addition, there is a great small grocery story called Marina Market where you will be able to purchase made to order sandwiches and salads for your trip to the beach or your adventure to the British Virgin Islands and St. John. You can also purchase just about everything else you will need to there to make your stay enjoyable as they have a great meat, cheese and produce department. The ferry terminal to St. John and the British Virgin Islands is also conveniently located in Redhook.

Best location in Sapphire Beach Resort

Located on the bottom floor in building C. Easy walk to restaurant & bar but further enough away not to be crowded or hear the noise. Situated behind the most photogenic view from the condos. Beautiful palm trees framing a view of blue water and islands in the distance. You can have chairs set up on the beach each day. Red Hook with many restaurants and ferry to St John is a short taxi ride away.

Unforgettable trip!

We had an amazing stay here, the location was perfect: door opens right to the beach with all sorts of activities, pool on property to the right (bar still under construction) 2 restaurants , 1 pizza place and a coffee shop on resort! Property owner sent awesome info/suggestions as well. Thanks so much for the stay.

Everything was advertised as expected. Amazing location, this was our 2nd time staying on sapphire beach. Best location and close to the marina. Only downside was the small space for the toilet. Wonderful experience overall and Cheri was great to work with.

Well maintained, well equipped, great sheltered private outdoor space with comfy furniture. Walk to water sport adventures and beach bar/restaurant. Short drive to Red Hook bars, restaurants and ferries. No hustle and bustle. Love it here.

Amazing condo!

The location of this property is PRIME! Steps to the beach from the patio! Quiet and the most beautiful view in all of Sapphire Beach! The condo itself could use some minor TLC, but it wasn’t anything that affected our stay! We will 100% book this location again!

Perfect Spot

Our favorite part about this unit is that it’s literally on the sand. Quick 45 second walk to the coffee shop, beach bar and water! We got to see 4 weddings right in front of our patio the week of our stay. They had snorkel gear, beach tent and inflatables. We will come back!

New years paradise stay

This property has everything you need. Water sports, snorkling, and 3 bars, restaurants right on the resort. Our View off of our patio was the best view of the entire property. We stayed 5 nights and witnessed 10 weddings out of the Patio. We had the best trip ever. What else could you ask for than to step out your back Patio and straight onto the sand. Gorgeous weather. We stayed for New Years and had the new years party, never had to leave.

Wow what a view!!! This was the perfect set up for our family. Our kids could play in the sand while I sat on the porch looking at the amazing view or made lunch. Had a hard time getting replies from Cheri, but her property contact would text us back right away! Will definitely be back. Thanks for the wonderful memories

Beautiful location!

The unit is on the beach and the ocean is right outside the door! The unit is showing its wear and needs updated. Also needs a few more cooking dishes/utensils- spatulas, pans for the toaster oven, etc. The price increase from this yr to next is unwarranted unless some TLC is given to the unit. It was fun to watch all the weddings and proposals on the beach.

Communication was best with using the phone and not text. Aside from that - we loved the location of the unit! Walked in to a fresh & clean smelling condo. That was cooled with one of the best AC units we have ever encountered at a beach! Not loud & worked perfect! Be aware that this location is where all the weddings and people wanting to take pictures is. Literally! We would sit outside and a photographer and families would be out there. And if the condo loungers and chairs - these people will come and sit on them & use them. Had one wedding when we returned from an outing - they used the loungers to put their food and clothes on! Weird!Only con was the bathroom toilet sounds like the plumbing needs updating. We did have to call to get it fixed once during the stay and that was done without us even in the condo. That was cool! Did not interfere with the day. Even the Sarah desert dust didn’t deter us from snorkeling twice a day every day! Been in many vrbos with a little more stocked kitchen but this one had everything we needed to use. (Except a spatula! lol. If we were closer to a shop I would have added it to their kitchenware collection. lol) great cookware otherwise.We had a very good stay! Snorkeling and peace - heaven. Being our third year to ST - we plan on returning as many times as we are able!

Paradise

The property photos/description are accurate. This property is worth the view alone! Your photos will look like the pictures in screensavers. It's absolutely breathtaking. You just walk out your unit onto this beautiful beach. The resort is fantastic. Good food and drinks just steps from the unit. Great pool and snorkeling. Paradise Pie has fantastic pizza and the coffee shop has great bagels & coffee, though it opens at 7am, which is late for us early birds. I have a bad back and the bed was fine, not sure if it was replaced, but I had no complaints. The unit could use some things like a full size coffee pot, wineglasses, big coffee cups, but there were enough dishes to manage. Communication with the unit owner was not as good as past VRBO's, but sufficient to get questions answered - I found texting worked much better than messaging through the VRBO app. Minutes from Red Hook for groceries, restaurants, and the ferry to St. John. Overall an excellent stay!

Great location. We got to watch 3 weddings right in front of the unit. Updates needed to unit like cabinetry peeling curtains have to be situated just right to block out the light. 2 hair dryers provided and one did not work, while the other blows cold air. Needless to say i had to go buy my own. Body wash, Shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. Other than that was a great trip

Rough bartender and security guards

We have stayed here multiple times before - this time the pool was closed and we were only able to use it 1 day. The location is beautiful but between the grouchy bartender at the restaurant and the security guards who stare at every move you make and are unfriendly when they do speak to you- it made for a different trip this time. If the condo complex had more pleasant staff it would be a huge plus for everyone. The gift shop And coffee shop ladies were lovely.

Great location, dated furnishings.

Location was perfect, just steps from the beach and plenty to do on site. The furnishings appear to be well used and poorly maintained. Drawers and closet doors barely stay shut. Any laminated cabinetry is peeling, not a single remote worked and a couple light bulbs burnt out. Simple things that could be easily remedied if given the proper care. Probably in line for the price and location, but will look for something a bit more refined next time.

Pack your plunger

Went for our son’s wedding. Condo location is awesome however the curtains in the place really need to be replaced. They were only hanging on by a few clips. Our toilet overflowed on Friday night at 9:30. Called the property manager then and had to leave VM. The plunger was old and the handle was broken off. Had to use the towels they provided to clean up the mess.Called the property manager early Saturday morning 3 times. Had to leave VM. I also called the Host who told me to call property manager. Could not use the toilet for 17 hours. When property manager finally answered she said I found out about it late last night and she had to beg maintenance to come fix it as it was Saturday. He finally came and it was fixed at 3:00. Wedding was at 5. We paid a lot of money for this place. This is unacceptable!Bottom line just bring a plunger!!!

My husband and I and our four children live in Seattle, Washington. We love to travel and have spent much of our free time traveling around the globe. We love outdoor activities such as boating, skiing, swimming, snorkeling and hiking.

Why they chose this property

My family and I fell in love with St. Thomas and Sapphire Beach when we first visited it on a Carribean cruise in August of 2010. We knew we wanted return. In January of 2011 we made a return trip to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We stayed at Sapphire Beach and knew we wanted to own a piece of this paradise. We purchased our first unit a month later and just this year (March, 2012) purchased our second unit. Both units are gorgeous and we are so happy to share our piece of this paradise with you!

What makes this property unique

This flat is one of two of our 'Gems of the Carribean'. This unit is a one bedroom, 1 bath (sleeps 4). Our other unit onsite is a two story Villa with 1 bedroom, 2 baths (sleeps 6). Both units are gorgeous and decorated to provide a relaxing vacation atmosphere.
