Enjoy a beautiful harbor view from the large comfortable covered front porch. This porch will quickly become your favorite place to enjoy watching beautiful sailboats and yachts, relaxing with a good book or just taking a snooze. From this spot you have a view of Balboa Island, Collins Island, Harbor Island and Bay Island. The beach is great for swimming,playing in the sand,or relaxing. No matter what time of year get the best of Newport Beach in this home. Easy walk to town, ocean, Balboa Island, and all the attractions of the Peninsula. 8 bicycles and 2 kayaks are there for your enjoyment as well as beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys. The home has a great open floor plan and includes TV/DVD players. The newly remodeled kitchen has plenty of counter space and a professional Viking gas range for your gourmet meals. A large outdoor shower is great for cleaning up after a day at the beach! Sleeps 6.

The Bay Front Beach Cottage is exactly as advertised. It is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the house is centrally located. It comes with bikes and kayaks to easily explore the area. The owners even had the house charmingly decorated for Christmas. Our experience far exceeded our expectations!

We had a fabulous time at this cute, classic Balboa beach cottage. From the minute we stepped inside the door, we could feel the love and warmth of this family beach house. The entire house is clean and well cared for and there are so many different beach toys and amenities to enjoy. Our kids had a blast playing on the beach and bay just steps from the patio. They loved the boogie boards, paddle boards, and sand toys. In addition, the location can't be beat with the big beach just across Balboa Blvd and the Fun Zone and ferry to Balboa Island just down the boardwalk. We will absolutely be returning!

Best location in Newport Beach

The beautiful and well-apportioned family home has a perfect location. Not only is it steps to the ocean and activities - the bay front beach, steps from the porch, is maybe the nicest in town. Lovely place for a family vacation.

A lovely location for a memorable Christmas

We were so happy that we chose this location to meet our extended family at to enjoy a cozy little Christmas on the harbor. The house is so very well stocked with everything you could possibly need and the area is very safe and secure. Host was available and responsive, we would definitely stay here again.

Second times a charm!

This is our second time renting this home and we will certainly be back. Can’t say enough great things about it...my favorite spot is sitting on the porch at night watching the boats go by. Thanks for another great visit Terri!

The home had everything that we needed and the host is very communicative. She had touches like flowers and a food basket. The home has beautiful views from the front window & porch where we spent most of our time eating and playing games, drinking morning coffee and chatting.

Loved the whole experience!

The house was a restored craftsman, exceptionally clean and updated. We enjoyed biking, kayaking, relaxing on the porch, watching boats and people. We really didn’t need a car except to drive to the grocery store. Terry was very attentive to our needs. We can’t wait to come back.

Perfect Beach House for Weekend Getaway

Perfect weekend getaway spot for a small family. The location and views are top notch; could not have asked for anything more. Terri was a fantastic host. She met us at check-in to show us around the house and make sure we had everything we needed, then left us alone to enjoy our trip. The house itself is complete with amenities that allow for a comfortable stay. The little beach area behind the house was perfect for our toddler.Tons of shops/restaurants/bars within walking distance.

Such a lovely home. We had stayed here years ago with our children. Was lucky enough to find it again & returned with our grown children & grandchild. Impeccably kept & sparkling clean. Ideal summer vacation spot

We had the best week at this lovely beach home. Terri had the place perfectly clean and is available if you need anything at all. We played on the water using their kayaks all week long and loved the convenience of the bay beach right in front of the home. Perfect for families, especially those with little ones if you’re worried about the safety of the waves at the larger beach. Highly recommend it - great all around. Views from the deck our spectacular. A truly special find!

Live the Dream!

We loved waking up each morning to the amazing Newport Harbor views from this home’s heavenly front porch! The craftsman style has been saved through a well planned upgrade and happily conveys the old Balboa feel of the 1930’s. Morning (coffee time) on the front porch was our favorite time of day. We also loved kayaking, biking, paddle-boarding and walking around the peninsula, Balboa Village and Balboa Island. Just a short and beautiful walk to the funs zone area, ferry and the pier. The house has plenty of space, and everything you need. Nothing was missing. The kitchen has updated appliances and a big plus was the indoor washer and dryer. :) Terri was fantastic at assisting us with the house and the surrounding restaurants etc. We have known about this home for years and we finally got our chance to experience it! Thank you Terri! We hope to come back soon.

Decent, but not worth the cost.

Home is located right on the sand, which is convenient for our little kids. It’s a very small section of beach, and turned out to be quite popular. Every day people would come super early and setup their tents and chairs, leaving very little room for us to hang out. On top of that, there are no signs about the razor clams along the shore line. We weren’t on the beach for 30 minutes our first day before our 5 year old sliced her foot on one, ending up in the ER with 6 stitches. Beach looks nice, but is deceiving. Lastly, and most disappointing: the trip was originally going to be my wife with our kids and her friend with her kids. My buddy and I decided to ditch work and tag along with our families for 2 of the 7 days they’d be there. The home owner contacted me for having too many people in the house. Totally understandable. We were more than willing to work with her or leave. However, she said we owed her a couple grand for being over occupied! I told her my buddy and I would just leave, and she said no, either pay the $,$$$ or we all had to leave. She strong armed us into an extra $,$$$. Absolutely ridiculous. She knew we had no where else to go and that we’d have to pay. Beware of this deceitful home owner.

Perfect place

We absolutely loved this house and location! It was impeccably clean, including the outdoor shower and porch. It is a beautiful, well maintained home with lots of charm but no sacrifice in comfort. The beds/linens were all very comfortable. It’s very well stocked with beach essentials, kitchen supplies, etc. The house is right on the bay which was beautiful, and also less than a 5 min walk to the ocean beach (you can see the ocean beach from the driveway). Perfect place for us with 2 little kids, and would be just as perfect with all adults. Terri was great to work with, very available if we needed anything. Basically, can’t say enough good things, we will be back!

The Perfect Stay!

Just can't say enough good things about this beautiful home! Terri graciously welcomed us and walked our family through her historic cottage. The home is pristine, gleamingly clean, well stocked and had all the "toys" we could have hoped for. The beds are so comfortable and the front porch can't be beat for evening meals, happy hour or just great people (or yacht) watching! Loved the easy location, parking and access. Beautiful home, lovely location

Our family enjoyed being right on the beach on the bayside, perfect for our 4 and 5 year olds to dig and splash. Beautiful and well-stocked home, probably the best rental we’ve ever stayed in. Made good use of the kayaks, beach toys, and bikes. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

What makes this property unique

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The home is located right on the bay with views of Harbor Island, Bay Ialand, Balboa Island as well as the San Gabriel Mountains. The ocean beach is an easy walk just 2 blocks away. The covered front porch is a perfect place to watch the ever changing panorama on the bay.
