Casa Columbia: pool. views. outdoor living.

Summary:

Tropical warmth meets minimalist cool with the contrast of white washed rooms and dark wood trim. Arched windows frame bird's eye ocean views. New Italian kitchen and stainless appliances. Turkish travertine is used exclusively creating a continuous flow from room to room. Styled after a Tuscan villa, Casa Columbia is four levels of island chic. A newly paved private road leads to a hidden oasis with the island's most spectacular views from every direction.



The Space:

The upper floor has a king primary bedroom with ensuite bath and ocean-facing balcony, and a queen bedroom with half bath. There is another full bath with glass block shower on the living room level. A second queen bedroom is on the pool level which feels like a private apartment with its own living area, full bath and walkout to pool and terrace. Property sits on one acre with garden area - bring your favorite book! After a day at the beach, come back to watch sunsets around the pool and outdoor shower, or catch the views from the rooftop deck . Enjoy dinner on an outdoor deck that flows from the living area and connects to kitchen terrace and gas grill. Watch shooting stars on the roof terrace with wet bar and enjoy simultaneous views of the Atlantic and Caribbean.

The Neighborhood:

Find our road located right next to Mango’s Taphouse & Gastropub on Route 201. Located on a quiet dead end road on a hill center island but with a convenient restaurant a short walk away, we are minutes from all the activities and destinations on Vieques.



Getting Around:

A car for Casa Columbia is a must, in order to best access the house and enjoy all that Vieques has to offer, including some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Many publicos (public transportation) will not drive to these areas which are truly the most beautiful on the island. A golf cart or scooter is NOT a good vehicle option while staying with us. Getting to Vieques: Ferry from Ceiba: Check ferry schedule for times on the Puerto Rico ferry website Planes to Vieques Airport (VQS): San Juan International Airport (SJU) 30 min flight Ceiba Airport (RVR) 10 min flight, 1 hour drive from SJU Isla Grande Airport (SIG) 20 min flight, airport located just 15 mins from SJU

Excellent stay at Casa Columbia. The house was lovely...clean, quiet and had everything we needed. For example there were chairs, beach towels and coolers to take to the beach, the kitchen was well equipped...there was even a little Cuisinart to whip some hummus for an afternoon snack by the pool. The hosts were helpful and responsive. 10 out of 10!

Best property we've stayed in on Vieques

This is our 4th trip to Vieques and this has been the best house so far. Marc is a great manager and easy to get a hold of. House was safe, clean, and beautiful. Great central location to Isabella II, Esperanza and the beaches. Would definitely stay again.

Great communication from the start! Very detailed and helpful beforehand so that we knew what to expect. When you pull through the private gate…it literally takes your breath away. The house is beautiful, the views are beautiful….you couldn’t ask for better or more. The host was waiting onsite and gave us a tour with other helpful info about the house and island. Super nice guy! We will skip San Juan next time and come straight here!

Amazing property

This house was perfect for our family of 4. The central location was perfect for beach hopping. The many porches had stunning views. Hosts were very very helpful. The house was clean and well equipped. We hope to be back!

We loved the property. The views the Atlantic are amazing. The home is very nicely furnished and the kitchen is new. We loved spending our afternoons by the pool after exploring all the beaches around the island.

Very Memorable!

What a beautiful home, with incredible views from every level! We visited with our three children and they absolutely loved the pool. The kitchen was well stocked, spotless when we arrived, and we loved having access to coolers, towels, and beach chairs for the beach days! Don’t hesitate to book - the views are even better in-person!

Fantastic

My wife and 2 daughters stayed for a week at Casa Columbia. It was a very nice property, plenty of room to spread out. Good pool. No mosquitoes. Excellent location. Highly recommended.

Spectacular Villa in Vieques

This place is amazing! I stayed with my wife and two adult children for four nights and we had a great time. The property is well equipped with a spacious kitchen and very comfortable rooms. The views were spectacular. The pool area is very amenable and well maintained. My only suggestion is that a curtain be installed in the master bedroom window as sunlight starts coming in at 6:00am, besides this small detail I will definitively return here on our next trip.

Fabulous house

Since the minute we get into the house we new it will be a marvelous weekend. The house is beautyfull. The view is amazing. We enjoyed the roof top looking the stars in the dark night. The house manager Marc is such a great guy. Definitly we will rent again the house and recommend it to frienda!

Beautiful view

Casa Columbia is a beautiful and well appointed house. There are lots of windows and great views. Full house air conditioning if you want it. We did not use it except in the bedrooms. Kitchen was nice but needs some new measuring cups and a cocktail shaker. Great to have the electric tea kettle. Four levels took a little getting used too and one bedroom had to use the shower on the level below it. Overall a beautiful house and I would recommend it.

Wonderful property!

The house was beautiful with views and observation areas everywhere. Great pool and nice tropical landscape design all around the property. My wife and 3 teen children had plenty of room at this home. The home is finished with high end materials and appliances and has a very premium feel and look to it. Marc was excellent to deal with and made sure we were happy at all times. I'd definitely recommend this property and plan on returning in the future.

Comfortable and private- with a great view!

Just returned from a very relaxing vacation in Vieques and in Casa Columbia. The house was very comfortable and had all the equipment and amenities we needed. It's also very private- up a hill, past a private gate. It's conveniently located- only 5 minutes to Esperanza or SunBay and close to the farmer's market, supermarket and gas station. Marc was very accommodating and served as a great resource. But what we loved most about the house was the view and the many different spaces from which to enjoy it- poolside, balcony, or rooftop.

Beautiful

Gorgeous home and location. Faces north with amazing views from all areas of home. Loved the top deck for sunsets. Well appointed with comfortable bedding, towels, amenities. What I really appreciated was the airflow. Louvered windows, doors on each level, and ceiling fans allowed a constant breeze that we never needed AC(there are split systems in each room as needed). Easy access either direction to town, beach, airport, etc. Well stocked with beach and pool supplies, outdoor shower. Adrienn, the property manager, was very helpful with prompt replies and coordinating check in/out. This is one of those places we didn’t want to leave.

Loved our family adventure

Our family of four loved this property and our Vieques adventures! Property managers were great to work with - answered questions ahead of stay and made helpful recommendations. House is beautiful inside and out - views, grounds, comfortable beds, well maintained pool. Kids loved the frogs, birds and iguanas and being surrounded by nature. There is quite a chorus of animals at night so we did windows open all day and then closed up at night to switch to AC which. We did Biobay with JAK water sports, snorkeling with Crystal Clear, and horseback riding with Esperanza Riding Company. All were fantastic! Jeep rental was key. We explored multiple beaches. So glad we found Casa Colombia for our headquarters and down time.

Beautiful property, great views

Beautiful north-facing views in a very attractive home. Loved the roof deck for sunrise, sunset and star-gazing. Master bedroom is very comfortable and well-appointed with a lovely deck. The other 3rd floor bedroom has nice views, but is smaller and does not have an ensuite or full bathroom on the same floor. The first floor bedroom has no windows, so is a bit gloomy. The kitchen and living area area very nice. We did not use the pool because it was cloudy and not so warm while we were there. Since it is north facing it doesn't get much direct sun. The location is perfect for easy access to everywhere on the island. Communication with Adrian was excellent. She was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

And let's be clear, the pictures are pretty darn awesome! We spent last week in Vieques at Casa Columbia, nestled high on a hill with amazing views from all 3 floors. There were 4 of us, so plenty of room. The house is more than adequately supplied across every possible category, not to mention the beds are supremely comfortable which is pretty important if you're planning to spend 7 nights. Vieques has something to offer everyone and we loved the numerous beaches and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The property manager, Marc, is a wealth of information and knows the island up and down. He was available anytime we had questions. Just an incredibly warm and hospitable guy. Couldn't have asked for more. If you're looking for a vacation home in Vieques, look no further - - Casa Columbia has it all!!

Perfect!

Our stay at Casa Columbia was fabulous! It is located on a hill with beautiful views. The pictures don’t do it justice! We rented a Jeep, which is helpful to access this property but also a great idea on the island to drive to those beautiful beaches that are a little harder to reach. We felt like Casa Columbia was our little private paradise after a day of exploring. Adrienn helped us find a way to the island after we missed the ferry and then met us at the house to check us in. The house had all the necessities to cook a meal, which we often did for either lunch or dinner. The beds were comfortable. There were many great areas around the house to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The beach chairs and cooler were so handy during our day trips. My only suggestion would be to include a beach umbrella or portable tent for shade at the beach. We had such a great time! We hope to return to Casa Columbia when we again visit Vieques!

Best possible spot in Vieques!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Columbia! The first thing I will say is that Marc is an absolute rock star as a property manager! I could not have asked for more. He personally met us at Maritza’s to pick up our Jeep and took us to the villa. He gave us a ton of suggestions on beaches, restaurants, etc that were invaluable. The villa was stunning with the most amazing views from its hilltop perch. The grounds are so beautifully landscaped and the interior is equally as beautiful. Vieques has the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen and I have traveled to a lot of pretty beaches around the world. With this being said my 17 year old son still preferred the beautiful pool with that amazing view most days. The rest of us loved having the pool to come home to each afternoon. There is bug spray, sunscreen, beach chairs, beach umbrella, floats, coolers at the villa! The mangoes were delicious when we were able to snag one before Goliath who was a gorgeous iguana that patrols the area! This was my second trip to Vieques with my first being before Maria hit and devastated the island. I can honestly say that Vieques and her residents have overcome! The island is green again, restaurants are open and still serving delicious dishes and it is still one of my favorite places and even more so after hearing what everyone there had to overcome. Did I mention horses?? The most beautiful inhabitants of the island are alive and well and are the cherry on top! Thank you Marc for everything!

Review of Villa Colombia

This vila is amazing and Evelyn was fantastic and communicated well with us. Loved, loved it. Pics don't do the place justice!!!!!!! You are literally sitting on one of the highest points in Vieques. Stargazing at night on the roof top was spectacular. Vieques is an amazing place, each beach better than the next. We will be back.

Spectacular property

We had an amazing stay at Casa Columbia! The views are even better in person than in the pictures on this listing. Waking up with a cup of coffee and lounging on any of the decks was my favorite partnn be of the day. The home is clean and stocked very well stocked - the kitchen has everything you would need including starter pantry items. The owners also provide numerous beach towel, chairs, bug spray, coolers and some toys. AC units in every room that worked very well, although most of the day we just opened windows and enjoyed the island breeze. The location feels very safe - gated driveway and a gated private road. Loved being 5 min between Esperanza and Isabel and around the corner from the Tim Box! The property manager, Adrienne, was absolutely fantastic. Very responsive, helpful and understanding every step of the way.
