Discover this 2-bedroom gem in Caviness, right outside of Paris TX. This cabin is an enjoyable retreat for guests seeking an amazing vacation experience. With 2 queen beds, it offers a phenomenal space to relax and unwind. The cozy living room, complete with a twin bed, provides an additional space for your comfort. Take advantage of the AC, washing machine, heating, and hair dryer amenities. The bathroom features a shower and hair dryer. Immerse yourself in the charm of Paris while staying at our cabin. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our place.

Aunt Kates house is the oldest house in the area. Purchased as a kit, sent by railroad and carried to its current location by mule teams, it was assembled by local carpenters close about 100 years ago. The house has been extensively repaired and modernized. Extraordinary many of the inside walls exposed are original wood. Is about 10 minutes from Pat Mayse Lake. Because this house is so old and in a rural area, it’s natural and common for critters to find their way inside especially when it’s getting cold. Field mice like to think the cabin is made for them too. Although we do what we can to keep them out, every now and then, one will find it’s way in so please do not be alarmed we do NOT have an infestation.

Nice little place to stay

We stayed here while on a fishing trip at Pat Mayse. The house fit all our needs and had plenty of parking for the boats. We would stay here again anytime!

The house was perfect for our trip. Was able to see lots of birds at the house as well as the nearby wildlife areas. Great place to relax and was peaceful. The house had an interesting backstory which she posted in the kitchen area for all to read. Highly recommend this house for a peaceful stay and is close enough to town to still see the sights!

My brother-in-law and I had a scheduled hunt at the Pat Mayse WMA. Kate's House was the perfect location. It met our needs and more. The weather permitted some outside sitting on the deck while grilling steaks on the weber grill kindly provided by the host. The place was clean and very comfortable.

Super cute and inviting!

The house was amazing and super close to the amenities of the city while being secluded in the country. The hosts were amazing and even helped out when my son left his beloved stuffed animal! We will definitely go back!

Amazing little place

Cabin was in a peaceful area. Not much traffic quaint and cozy. Only had one issue and that was the wasps nest but other than that no other problems.

Perfect little hidden gem

Wonderful cozy little home. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is beautiful, clean, and very very comfortable. If you are looking for something way better than a hotel right outside of town then I highly recommend this place. It's only a 10 minute drive to almost everything in the city, it's a nicely tucked away hidden spot. I would 100% stay there again!
