We had w onderful stay at Sol Y Mar. The home was comfortable, well appointed and nestled on a beautiful stretch of Chalk Sound with wonderful views and amenities. We cannot wait to come back!

Gorgeous view

Enjoyed our stay at Sol Y Mar. The location on Chalk Sound was perfect. The family enjoyed the dock, fire pit, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling gear.

Beautiful home! Loved the views of the sound. House was well appointed. Enjoyed the kayak. Ciara was excellent and responded immediately to any of our questions. Would definitely recommend.

Sol Y Mar was an absolute dream and we had an amazing stay at this property! The location was quiet and peaceful, with absolutely beautiful views that made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy Turks and Caicos.The home was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms that gave everyone plenty of room. Check-in and check-out were both incredibly easy, and the property was exactly what we hoped for.The hosting was truly above and beyond. Our host met us at the property when we arrived to show us around, answer questions, and make sure we were settled in. They also arranged a mid-week cleaning, which was such a thoughtful extra touch.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and well-cared-for place to stay in Chalk Sound.

Relaxation at the Sound

This house in Chalk Sound had everything you need for a perfect relaxing tropical vacation-away from the tourists and crowds in Grace Bay. The infinity pool and swinging egg chairs were paradise.The property manager was always available and responded to messages asap.Highly recommend this villa!

You won’t want to leave

Could not have asked for better location for this island vacation. Located just off the beaten path Sol y Mar was the perfect spot to reconnect as a family. It was easy to get to anywhere on the island from here, but there was really no reason to leave. Exploring Chalk Sound on the property’s paddle boards or making the short walk to the lovely and entirely uncrowded Taylor Bay Beach is more than enough. Early risers will delight in sunrise over the Sound and night owls can enjoy the starry night in the waterfront lounge with a fire pit. Enjoy a family dinner on the terrace and argue about who saw the biggest sea turtle while the Night Herons stalk the shores looking for a snack. Chalk Sound Road is good for jogging and the dock is perfect for some seaside yoga. The manager was responsive and quick to respond in person to a silly issue—even on Christmas Eve. The only downside was having to leave!

Secluded Retreat

What a magical place. The pictures are well done and give you a good sense of what to expect, it is truly as beautiful as depicted. We loved facing the chalk sound, it is lovely to look out on and our 2 year old delighted in watching the airplanes land across the way. We spent a whole day lounging around the pool, dock, tiny beach and fire pit because it was so nice to spend time there. We did the 10-15 minute walk to Taylor bay several times (tiny humans added extra time). Ask Ciara how to get there. There is a short walk along chalk sound drive to a dirt road to a path down to the beach. We pulled a wagon (that we brought with) full of beach gear down the sandy path without issue. Ciara arranged for someone to meet us at the rental car place and drive with us to the house where she showed us around the property. There is a supply of beach chairs, an umbrella, snorkel gear and life vests that we enjoyed using during our stay. The beach gear did not include a cooler. We got by with a Stay Cold bag from the grocery store which we left behind for others to use. We loved our stay here!
