Pets are welcome at this classic 1800s Vermont farmhouse, nestled on 66 private acres with easy access to both Sugarbush and Stowe ski resorts. Enjoy mountain views from the 8-person hot tub, and miles of x-country/snowshoe trails just outside your back door. Fully renovated in recent years, this home features a chef's kitchen and high-quality, tasteful furnishings throughout. This is an extremely private and quiet property, where you can enjoy Vermont at its finest.
The beautifully-appointed, eat-in kitchen is the heart of this house. You'll find it stocked with anything a chef could possibly need, including high-quality cookware, Miele appliances and an induction range. The room features barstool seating, as well as a farmhouse table for up to 6.
The living room, with its down-filled couch, and wood burning fireplace, is the ideal spot to curl up with a book or for drinks by the fire. An adjoining room provides a space for TV watching. An enormous stash of firewood is supplied.
The dining room, with seating for 10, is the perfect place for large, special meals with friends and family, or for games after dinner.
The three bedrooms include a large master suite on one side of the house, and two additional bedrooms on the other side of the house, up a separate stairway. Two sleeper sofas can accommodate up to 4 additional guests, for a total of 10. Windows flood the home with natural light all winter long.
This is the perfect base camp for skiing, or just hunker down, and never leave the property. Enjoy epic sledding on the long driveway, or the miles of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails just steps from your door. Finish the day with the drink of your choice by the outdoor fire pit, or soaking in the hot tub. The gas grill on the patio can be used in all weather.
Only 15 minutes from Waterbury, in one direction, or Waitsfield, in the other, the house is a short drive from fantastic restaurants, breweries, and winter activities.
Well-behaved pets welcome! ***Pet fee required*** $125 for up to two pets.
PLEASE NOTE- it is highly recommend to have both four-wheel drive AND snow (not "all-weather") tires in the winter. I do not refund due to weather conditions. The road will be plowed and sanded, as necessary, as soon as the local plow person has done so, and at his discretion. The owner or host is not required to help remove a stuck vehicle or reimburse for any towing on or off the property. No refunds will be given for tow services required by the renters.
Pre-approval of pets is required. For approved pets, there is a $125 fee per stay. These fees make it possible for me to welcome your pets, by offsetting the additional cleaning and wear-and-tear expenses that pets incur over time. Thank you for your understanding.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

This home is an outstanding retreat and our favorite part was the kitchen where we gathered 90% of the time. The hot tub and radiant heat flooring were a bonus but spending time cooking & enjoying each others company was amazing!
