Lovely condo in a great location near downtown. Very new, still smells new! Lots of space. Layout and bedroom worked perfect for our family. Kitchen needs stocked a bit more in the utensil department. Easy check-in! Thanks for a great stay!
Great location and exceptionally clean with easy parking. Renters should be aware that the location is minimally supplied so, plan to bring oven mitts, pans or anything else you may want to use.
Brand spanking new property.
Very minimalist decor
Could use a bit more sturdy furniture and character but very clean and excellent communication w property manager.
Easy walk to town and perfect for a football weekend
Stayed here with a group of friends for 2 nights for a Hawkeye football game. Location was nice. About a 10 minute walk from the edge of downtown and then another 20 or so minutes to the stadium.
The furnishings were pretty basic, but the place was very clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have 2 beds in them. So it works well for a group. Suited our needs just fine and I would stay again if in town for a game.
First the good! The location is great! Walking distance to restaurants and shops and much of the university. The place is brand new--fresh and unlived in. And immaculate! So clean! Lots of space! Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, spacious kitchen, and large living area...with a tiny little couch. Now the not-so-good. The pictures made the couch appear bigger than it was. It sits three adults snuggly. And there is no other place to sit comfortably. Two hard stools and 4 hard dining room chairs. If there had been an area rug on the floor perhaps it would have worked--grab a few pillows from the beds and lounge on the floor, but alas, only hard floors in the living area. I think the owners are probably going to slowly add furnishing as they can... perhaps? It would not cost a lot to make this place homey. A couple of easy chairs from a local thrift store would have done wonders for increasing the comfort level. Also if you are going to do any cooking, the plates and cookware are bargain basement stuff. And the pillows, sheets, and blankets also economy. So in sum, at first glance a BEAUTIFUL and impressive-looking place that is in a terrific location if you want to be close to downtown. But when you live in it for a few days (we were there 5 nights) you start longing for the comforts of home. (NOTE. I do not live in a fancy place. Regular house. Regular furnishings. I was not looking for upscale. This place just needs more regular comfortable furnishings.)
