The space
Welcome to Bit O’ Honey, a cozy White Mountains retreat designed for relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable nights under the stars. Other things to note
The Bit O’ Honey is designed to be a peaceful White Mountains retreat surrounded by nature, mountain air, and the changing seasons. Because the home is located in a wooded mountain setting, guests may occasionally see ladybugs or other seasonal insects that naturally make their way indoors despite regular cleaning and maintenance.

The private hot tub is professionally maintained and available for guest use year-round. The outdoor fire pit is available for guests, but snow and winter weather may naturally accumulate in the fire pit area during the colder months. Shovels are available on-site for guests who would still like to enjoy fires during the winter season, weather permitting.

We hope you enjoy everything Bit O’ Honey has to offer —from cozy mountain mornings to evenings spent soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars.

Arctic stay

My family spent a couple days at this charming cabin as described close to several ski resorts. Due to arctic temperatures and blasting winds we ended up spending more time inside the cabin than on the slopes. Nevertheless we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The host was very pleasant and responsive. We would love to return another winter.

Cute little place, perfect for 2, fabulous location!

Small place but certainly does the job! Plenty of amenities, they even had a log for the fire pit. There’s also many kitchen appliances (spices included!!!) for a cozy dinner at home. Not to mention, there is even a heated toilet seat! The only problem we had was the heat. It’s gets plenty warm, but then doesn’t stop. It could have been user error and we did not ask about it so our own fault. Overall excellent stay!

Cute little cabin

When we first arrived we thought we had been scammed. Many cabins looked abandoned and or not cared for. We only found our cabin by process of elimination there was no visible number. Once inside the cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. The bed was an absolute nightmare. It’s a full size bed with a mattress that you can feel every single spring in..

Thank you for your feedback, Malinda. We apologize for any confusion and discomfort during your stay, as your satisfaction is crucial to us. We're glad you appreciated the cleanliness and coziness of the home. We're sorry to hear about the difficulties in finding the home and issues with the bed comfort. We provide detailed directions and communicate actively with our guests to ensure clarity, and we apologize if this was not sufficient. The bed is queen-sized as listed; however, we regret that you found the mattress uncomfortable. We take such feedback seriously and will assess and possibly update our mattresses. We make it a practice to check in with our guests after the first night to address any issues, but we did not receive a response from you. We encourage our guests to communicate any discomforts so we can resolve them quickly. Thank you again for your insight. We are committed to enhancing our guest experience and would be grateful for the opportunity to host you again with improvements. Dirty/stained rugs and carpets.Broken floor tiles.Water buildup around septic tank less than 10 feet from the property? All of the rest of the surrounding area was dry. Dirty windows and windowsills. Teflon frying pans were extremely damaged. Dirty/Stained comforter, looked like blood. Downstairs space is much smaller than it appears. The bed was very very comfortable. Lots of amenities, including a convection oven, air fryer, and a bidet. Has a neat feature where the upstairs window pulls out into a little balcony. Nice fire pit area. Great communication response time by owner.

Nestled in the heart of the enchanting White Mountains, The Bit O' Honey, affectionately known as our Skylight Retreat, carries a special legacy. This charming property is lovingly named after our beloved family vacation home in Vermont, "The Honey House." Over many years, The Honey House has been a sanctuary of joy and togetherness for our family, radiating warmth and creating unforgettable memories.

With The Bit O' Honey, we aspired to extend this family tradition by creating a space that embodies the same spirit of home and heart. Our vision was to craft a place not just of shelter, but of peace, joy, and lasting memories—a slice of heaven that we could share with others. We meticulously designed The Bit O' Honey to reflect a setting where families, friends, and couples can find a retreat from the bustling world, an intimate space to reconnect with each other and nature.

Every element in The Bit O' Honey, from the cozy furnishings to the light-filled rooms, and of course, the signature skylight that bathes the retreat in natural light, has been curated to foster relaxation and inspiration. Here, beneath the expansive skies and amidst the tranquil vistas of Woodstock, NH, you're invited to unwind and create your own stories.

As you spend time at The Bit O' Honey, whether sipping coffee under the skylight, watching the stars, indulging in nearby adventures, or simply taking in the peaceful ambiance, we hope this place becomes as special to you as The Honey House is to us. It is our sincerest wish that The Bit O' Honey serves as a canvas for your memories, a place where you can return to add more layers to your tales of joy and togetherness.

Welcome to our slice of heaven. We are thrilled to share it with you and hope that you, too, will call it a home-away-from-home. Make it yours, fill it with laughter and love, and let The Bit O' Honey be where your fondest memories blossom.
