Come and unwind in this peaceful country like setting that is convenient to everything Austin has to offer. This old ranch style home has been completely modernized throughout. Limestone patios in the front and back plus a pool. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, 1 kingsize bed, 1 queen and 2 twins and one pop up queen bed. The modern kitchen features six burners, two ovens and a large island. There are many deer, birds and other wildlife, but downtown Austin is just a short drive away.

A Lovely Getaway

We stayed here for four nights, to attend my niece's wedding at the Wildflower Center. The host and the property were lovely, lots of space inside the home and around the property.

The most amazing summer!

This property could have not been more magical!! We stayed there in the summer for our boys to have a serene place with a pool and it was above and beyond our expectations!! The owner was incredibly lovely and made the whole experience that more magical! We hope to come back every summer!

Beautiful Property

Arrival and check in was simple and quick. The property was spacious and clean. Lots of amenities such as the pool, tv room and large kitchen. The owner was very responsive with any questions we had. Would recommend for families who like the quiet country side and quick trip into the city.

Relax and recharge!

We are a busy family on the go. We needed a weekend to be together, celebrate some wins and make some goals for the next year, without any distractions. We had a wonderful time hanging out at the pool, playing games, and cooking. The property is beautiful! Clean and very comfortable. Sandy is an exceptional host and we hope to visit again

Clean, Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful weekend on this property! Sandy was a great host and was very communicative throughout. The house was clean and had every thing that we needed. It was fully stocked with plates, silverware, pots, pans so we didn't even need to leave the house. We also enjoyed the pool and the seclusion of this place. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway

Beautiful and Relaxing! Great space for a larger group.

The house was perfect for 3 couples - each couple got their own bedroom and bathroom. The only downfall was that there was only 1 room with a king bed but the other two rooms worked for the weekend. We came for the Formula 1 race and it was a great location for that area. It was also pretty close to Austin as well. I would definitely stay here again. The communication was great. Everything was as stated in the description.

Long Term Peaceful Country Getaway

We had a lovely peaceful 6 week country getaway. It was a mixture of remote work, relaxation and holiday/event hosting. The setting was perfect especially the backyard's pool with waterfall, furnishings and landscaping. Although the property is perfect for large events, the house also has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a well equipped huge kitchen overlooking the backyard through large set of windows. The combination library / TV room was very comfortable when not enjoying the outdoors. VRBO host Sandy was very responsive and accommodated all our questions and requests.

Lovely & Peaceful Private Home

Excellent Stay Outside Austin

We stayed with a small family group for an extended period to visit other family in the Austin area. The house is very comfortable in a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing setting, with a great pool area and lovely landscaping all around. The kitchen is well equipped. Sandy is an outstanding host and was very responsive throughout the process.

Lovely home in a quiet location

We absolutely loved this property! We were looking for a place that could offer our family minimal media distractions so that we could spend time reconnecting and this place was perfect. They had a round table that was big enough to accommodate us all while playing card games, which we loved. The pool was wonderful and the home was large enough to give everyone in the house some privacy. My nine year old and I loved exploring the wildlife. We saw roadrunners, deer, lots of lizards, birds and bats. My son was super excited to hear the coyotes howling during the evenings. Sue was absolutely wonderful. She was quick to respond to any issues we had and she was so welcoming. We will definitely plan a visit again in the future.

Extended weekend getaway

We had a fantastic time at Merryvale. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool and the quite evenings. It is perfectly located between Austin and San Marcos. We saw lots of deer which made my daughter and wife happy.

Tranquil Setting Yet Close To The City

If you plan to visit the Austin area and want a little distance from the city and some peace and quiet look no further. Great setting in Hill country with a constant light breeze blowing and lovely outdoor areas. House is spacious and extremely well equipped.

Nice getaway

We loved this property and cannot wait to visit again. The property is beautiful inside and out. We booked this property as a surprise for my son’s 7th birthday and because it has a pool and is located relatively close to horseback riding. We had a great weekend and plan to return soon!

Just what we needed...

We had a great time in this beautiful property. It was close enough to Austin so driving into the city wasn’t a big deal, but it felt like the middle of no where which was so serene. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor lights before crashing in the comfy beds. The kitchen was well stocked. Our only recommendation was to have plastic wine glasses for the pool area! Thanks for a great stay!

Family wedding stay in Austin
