Pleasant Bay is bordered by National Park at both entry points. It is arguably the best place to watch whales, and has four very different whales tours operating at the Pleasant Bay Harbour. Touring by boat is also a great way to explore the National Park and many miles of our uninhabited and wilderness protected areas. You may also tour the very unique Gampo Abbey Buddhist Monastery and Stupa of Enlightenment, which was built for westerners and has been host to thousands of students from all over the world and many life monastics.
