It's interesting that the guest chose to leave such a poor a review as she gave us a different reason for leaving my property. They left very shortly after arriving and it wasn't for the reason she had in this review. I'll go ahead and explain what really happened. They didn't read the listing correctly prior to booking that we don't have AC in our home. It's stated very clearly on the listing in numerous areas that air conditioning is not an amenity. Upon arriving, she did mention that one bathroom didn't seem to be properly cleaned. I immediately called my crew and they were ready to come and take care of that right away. I apologized and provided a solution. They called me and kept the communication off of the VRBO messaging system to say the reason they were leaving is failing to recognize to the lack of AC, finding another house, which I understand. Same day cancellation does not warrant any type of refund but as a kind courtesy, I chose to partially refund several hundred dollars, which I certainly did not have to do. Prior to them cancelling I offered solutions to cooling the house since their quick assessment of our house was not accurate as far as how to take care of it when it's slightly warm. We understand they made a mistake in not securing a home with AC but they were ungrateful at my courtesy refund, blamed it on the bathroom in this review and to be honest, I'm very glad they didn't stay in my sweet home.
