Eagles Nest- River View Cabin

Cozy 2 bedroom cabin with an additional loft garage that over looks the Mississippi River. Main cabin has 2 rooms, 1 bedroom has 1 king bed and the other 1 queen bed. Additional sleeping space in the living room with the queen size futon. Loft above garage has an open concept with 2 additional queen beds, kitchenette and second bathroom. The 2 separate spaces make it a perfect getaway for families, friends or groups with different schedules that still want to stay together.

-Hot tub is available all year round and overlooks the Mississippi River.
-Outdoor gas grill in screened in porch.
-Boat ramp is right across the road from property.

- 4 wheel / all wheel drive vehicles are necessary if there is a snow storm or bad weather during winter months. The driveway is steep so will make it difficult to access with a 2 wheel drive vehicle on those conditions.
* Please note: this property does sit on a bluff, below it on the other side of the road there are train tracks and trains run on a schedule.

Loved the little cabin tucked up overlooking the Mississippi! We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed all weekend reading and watching movies! Perfect relaxing getaway. The train came by often but was not bad at allwe kind of looked forward to it!

The host was welcoming and responsive. Unfortunately we didn’t realize how close the tracks were and we had our noise sensitive dog with. She didn’t do well and we left a day early. The hot tub was nice and the view very nice. It could use some updating and attention to the wood burning stove. The newer loft over the garage was very nice.

Work retreat

This place was perfect for a week away from the city. We came here to get some peace and quiet and work remote. This place definitely fulfilled that. The wifi worked great, no work interuptions and access to the backyard to get some sun and view of the river couldn't be beat. The hot tub was the perfect place to relax after work and Gabby was super responsive with whatever issues/questions we had. The beds were comfortable, lots of places to sit and/or work, big kitchen and many pots availble for cooking. If I'm in the area, I would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

Cabin had a beautiful view…hot tub was a nice addition. Don’t plan on bringing your boat. One family hauled the boat all the way up, only to find out the driveway is not suitable for it. Loft above the garage was cozy and A/C worked well at both places. Front screen door should just be taken off or replaced…Kitchen had no hot pads…really only minor details. We overall had a nice time…close to Lansing and to the beach.

View was beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. We loved that we were located in a bluff. It was nice to be close to some other cities. We loved having a fire The driveway is VERY steep, glad we didn't bring a boat. Parking for only 3 vehicles.My mother in law cleaned the window to give a better view of the river. Water pressure in the little house wasn't great. In the little house, I had to move the fridge to get to the thermostat, there was a bunch of dead lady bugs. We also we went to kill a big behind the bed, and found more bug carcasses and black dust.
