Charming duplex walkable to historic downtown Cedarburg
Location is key to an enjoyable getaway. The Hilburg House, a quaint 1912 updated farmhouse with two units, is located in a quiet neighborhood around the corner from several parks on Cedar Creek. A short 10-minute walk to town will bring you to an abundance of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, local brew pubs, an art museum, and a cultural center. The park offers weekly music performances in summer and four dedicated pickleball courts with friendly drop-in sessions.
When traveling, you want to experience the best of everything. We thought it was important to go the extra mile and outfit the home with new beds, 1800 thread count sheets, a choice of either down or alternative down comforters, white fluffy towels, toiletries, coffee & tea. The space offers just about everything you need to feel at home.
Guest Access This home is a duplex, with two units. The upper unit is reserved for a long-term renter, while you will be hosted in the lower unit on the main floor with access to the covered front porch. The backyard is shared with the tenant who lives upstairs. It offers 4 Adirondack chairs around a fire pit. The back patio offers a table, chairs, an LED umbrella with lights, and a gas grill. NOTE: The backyard firepit may not be ideal for young children as it sits above the creek with a 30-foot ravine drop-off. The laundry is located in the lower level and is also shared with the long-term tenant.

Very clean and easy to get to. Five minute drive to downtown so close to shops which was nice to have in the winter. Very quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!

Thank you for your kind review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
Very cute house, great location where we could walk to all the shops and establishments we wanted to visit. I was able to take my morning run through the neighborhood with beautiful views of the water and also felt safe. Communication with the host was quick and convenient. Great spot for a little girls weekend getaway.
This is a lovely house, close to all the restaurants and activities in town. The house is very clean and very well stocked. Unlike many rentals, there were ample towels and toiletries. The house has nice, comfortable furniture and plenty of room to relax.
Awesome house. Just beautiful. Everything was super clean. Everything that you need. First place I’ve ever stayed that had super clean frying pans. All the little touches were perfect. Would recommend 100%

Immaculate and comfortable 2 bedroom home within walking distance of all that Cedarburg has to offer. Nice sized back yard with a grill and a fire pit. Great location, worth every penny.

We have girls weekend every year for over 10 years staying at many close to home cities. We like adventuring the beautiful trails and enjoy what the town has to offer. We also ventured out to Port Washington to do some of the same things. Enjoyimg town shops trails. and a lot of reminiscing to make a fun getaway to enjoy the weekend.Linda's place made us feel at home and is 1 of our top places to stay in the years we had. The number 1 sell for the girls in this group was the firepit by the ravine. Very nice property! Stellar place. Highly reccomend!

Thank you for your thorough and kind review. I enjoy hosting and make sure guests are comfortable and offer all the conveniences of home.
There’s no greater joy for me than hosting family and friends, so I have expanded my hospitality to those traveling to the charming city of Cedarburg. Over the past couple of years, we have seen many of our friends and family move home from the coasts to find themselves back in the Midwest, and some specifically to Cedarburg. There’s just something about this place that feels like home no matter where you live. My husband Curt and I live nearby in Mequon, where we raised our two children. The Hilburg House is our first VRBO. We take great pride in offering guests all the comforts of home. We hope you find your stay equally inviting.
If you are considering a move to the area, I am a full-time Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty and would be more than happy to assist you in your search for a new home.
Why they chose this property
We chose to host a VRBO in Cedarburg because it reminds us of a Norman Rockwell environment, an era long gone. You will find friendly people, and a thriving small town offering numerous activities and relaxation for the perfect getaway.
What makes this property unique
This property exudes the charm of a home nearly 120 years old with modern-day updates.
