Hand-hewn Lincoln Log cabin in a charming, secluded Northwoods location, ready with modern amenities to make memories with family and friends! Visit our fully stocked home away from home to enjoy an escape in nature while enjoying views of private, spring-fed Lake Arbutus. We are excited to welcome you to your new favorite retreat, Pine & Dandy!

** Snowmobile Trips **

Our driveway has ample parking for trailers, and there are trail access points nearby — the closest groomed trails are on Highway H, minutes from the cabin. No groomed trails run directly to the property. Check with the local snowmobile clubs for current grooming and trail conditions.

Please note: there is a video doorbell at the front door, on the exterior of the property.

4-Wheel / All-Wheel Drive is recommended to reach the property, especially in inclement weather, as the driveway is steep.

A Note About Dogs: Up to two dogs are welcome with prior approval. Please supervise them at the cabin and crate them when you're out — one large crate is available, just let us know ahead of time so we can have it ready. And please clean up after them outside.

Peaceful woods cabin escape

It was a beautiful location with an even more amazing log cabin. There is plenty of room and ammenities to take care of all we needed. When we needed more supplies there are cities near by to shop.

Truly the most wonderful experience we’ve had in the dozens of VRBOs we have done. The host was communicative, kind, generous with amenities and time to chat about the property when we had questions. The technology in the house is second to none and the furniture and linens and supplies are just as great. This property is like a hybrid of comfy cabin meets 5 star hotel accommodations. Location is quiet and private but close enough to town that it’s easy to run out in either direction to go for shopping, groceries, etc. But we really just took a full week of soaking this place in and cannot wait to go back. Cheers to fantastic property and the owners to match. Truly still blown away and it’s been a couple weeks since we left.

Everything you need and more

We loved our stay. Took advantage of all tat this specious yet cozy cabin had to offer. We went fishing in the boat, took out the kayaks, learned to paddleboard, went out on the peddle boat, made a campfire, roasted marshmallows, played games, cooked in the kitchen, went in the hot tub and enjoyed the heater on the deck. We all had our own bedroom and enjoyed the multiple levels in the cabin. It was so private and peaceful. We will definitely be back.

Our family was born and raised in Wisconsin, and we have fallen in love with the Northwoods! The air is pure, the trees are beautiful, and the lakes are so relaxing!

We have used short term rentals for the last 10 years and we are excited to share our own home away from home with others.

Why they chose this property

From the first time we visited the property, and our kids ran around and started exploring the woods right away, we knew we had found something special.

As soon as you come up the driveway at the top of the hill, you see breathtaking views of the private Arbutus Lake down below. You can hear the loons calling during the summer months. Our neighborhood is home to a lot of wildlife, and so there is so much to explore and see!

Our cabin is at the end of a private drive, and the neighbors are almost entirely covered by trees, so the property feels very secluded.

What makes this property unique

The cabin is hand-hewn Lincoln Logs, with almost entirely wood surfaces on the walls and ceiling inside, completely stained and sealed, so it shines and smells amazing!

We have thoughtfully and carefully curated the art inside from antique, resale and other stores to provide an eclectic collection of charming Northwoods decor.

The hot tub is ready for year-round enjoyment, and has views of the lake below.

The massive wrap-around deck is ready for outdoor living, and has a space heater to maximize enjoyment on the cooler nights and mornings.
