In 1956 my parents bought a shore house in Stone Harbor on seven mile island. All eight of the children grew up there in the summers. The simplicity and beauty of the house became part of our lives and our hearts. Life was simpler then with lots of sun, sand and good food. When my Dad died and left us the house we didn’t want to change a thing about it, as if that could somehow bring us back to the joyous past. It really can’t bring you back but the house is as simple today as it was in 1955 when we bought it. We have added a new kitchen, air conditioning, cable tv, internet and a better heating system for the winter, but the feel of the place is still 1960 strong. If you are looking for the seashore the way it used to be come and share our house
