The Heart of East Bay

WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING STAY!

Really cute newly renovated home. It was perfect for our family. We loved the large fence to give us privacy. The property managers were great to communicate with. Very responsive. Highly recommend

Excellent location

You have access to a private beach (which is not nearly as busy as the park area). It’s a great spot and easy walk to beach! The. You can jump in the pool and cool down after:). The house was really clean. I would recommend renting a golfcart as we accessed most of the island on it! Really fun- we will be back! Oh and dog friendly!!

Our Stay

The pool wasn't heated, though advertised as so. The pool also had a lot of leaves floating around. A breaker tripped out first night there and we never figured out where the box was. The inside of the property and patio were immaculate.

Great location

Great location as it was easy to get to town and a short walk to the beach. Very clean and great communication from the management company. Living room looks nice but the big chairs weren’t great for relaxing - a sectional would have been better. The pool looks bigger in the photos but it was great to have to cool off. No shade in back yard and no umbrella, so bring your own. No lights in the backyard (or they weren’t working), so couldn't see our dogs when we let them out at night. Also, there was some debris in the pool and lots of leaves/acorns in the outdoor shower area. Overall, a great stay and cute Island town.

We had a pleasant stay on St. Simons Island and found the property to be in a very good location. The home was clean, and the host communicated well throughout our visit. While there were no major standout features, the property met our expectations overall. We did encounter a couple of issues during our stay. The swimming pool had an algae bloom upon arrival , which we were informed was already a know issue through the pool service company. As a result, we lost approximately 2.5 days of pool use. In addition, although this is not a fault of the host, the concrete brick work surrounding the pool has some rough edges that cut the bottom of our dog’s paw pads. We were able to treat him with guidance from our vet, but guests traveling with pets may want to be aware of this. Overall the property offered a nice stay. Don’t let our issues keep you from booking this home.
