Cozy "granny chic" 100-year-old bungalow in the heart of peaceful Phoenicia next to Stony Clove Creek and a 5-minute walk to Main St and Tan Bark trail. Amenities include a wellness room with an indoor traditional Finnish sauna, a wood burning river stone fireplace, fully stocked kitchen with gas stove, instapot, vitamix blender, toaster, microwave, coffee machine (coffee provided), and Nescafe (pods provided). Large dog-friendly fully fenced private backyard with grill + green egg and outdoor seating. Fully stocked laundry room (soap provided). Work remotely with the convenience of super fast WiFi (300+ Mb/s). Enjoy the home comforts of a washing machine and dryer, AC, and heating. The bathroom includes a Japanese toilet seat (bidet) and claw tooth bathtub, along with a hair dryer.

With 2 cozy bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people in 3 beds, this fabulous retreat offers a comfortable stay. First floor bedroom has one queen size fully adjustable bed. Second floor bedroom has one full size adjustable bed and one standard twin bed. The upstairs bedroom is loft-like and partially open to the floor below (living room), with the two beds in two separate semi-private areas on either side of the floor. Lovely boho bungalow

Took a short weekend away with my partner and doggo. Danielle's bungalow was a perfect getaway for us. The place is comfortable with unique touches such as the sauna and the beautiful artwork throughout the house. The backyard was fully fenced, so my dog had a blast running around outside. Danielle was very easy to reach and promptly responded to my question about the sauna. I highly recommend as a place to unwind while having access to the restaurants and towns nearby.

first visit to the Catskills!

The property was truly lovely and very completely outfitted. I was traveling with my mother and two nephews and unfortuntely we arrived during the dreadful heatwave that hit the northeast. The property was exactly as pictured and we had almost enough fans to cool the place down. The ceiling fans certainly helped but an ac unit on the first floor would have helped. No one could have known the heat would be this severe but a second ac unit would have helped. The het broke on day 3 of our four day stay so that helped. I loved the house -- exactly as pictured.

Dog friendly great location

This lovely home is right in Phoenicia, walkable to Brio's, Bettina, and the market. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. The bedroom closet was amazing--I've never in my life completely unpacked in a hotel or rental. But I did it here and it was perfect! Bathroom adorable. We didn't use the upstairs. AC is a giant unit up there--we didn't need it because the first floor was very easy to cool with the ceiling fans. We loved the porch in the morning and the backyard in the afternoon. The property manager was very responsive and the neighborhood is great for dog walks of any length and challenge. Our only minor quibble was that we felt there was an excess of furniture and decor in the living room and dining room that made them feel a bit dark and crowded. But that's mostly a matter of taste! We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay while skiing at Belleayre

Cozy stay. House was inviting. All essentials provided. Stayed with friends and enjoyed a weekend of skiing at Belleayre. While we could have made a dinner, we opted for the Phoenicia dinner, which did not disappoint. Fast and fantastic! Definitely recommend.

Last minute getaway

We booked the bungalow last minute after our original plans over the New Year's break fell through. It was a very quiet time of year to visit the Catskills, but we were warm and cozy in this lovely, well appointed home. Kitchen was well-stocked and clean. We loved the sauna! Our five-year old slept upstairs. For apartment-dwelling, city folk we are not used to multi-floor living: its worth noting the there are no doors or barricades between the two upstairs sleeping areas and the top of the stairs. If we stay there again I would bring a secure child gate, just to ward-off any middle of the night incidents. (and ease my neurosis!)

Great location, bad everything else

My family ultimately didn't stay at this property after arriving to find that there was no hot water and very poorly working heat. The beds also seemed not to have been made in advance of our arrival and had dirty sheets, which is partly how we realized there was no hot water—we couldn't do laundry in the very old washing machine. There was also evidence of mice in the kitchen which had not been cleaned up. While the heat was on in the downstairs of the house, there didn't appear to be any method of heating the upstairs of the home. The owner promptly refunded our payment after we expressed our concerns to the property manager, who offered to try to find a repairman for the hot water situation. We ultimately decided to move on as it was the Sunday before Christmas and we weren't feeling good about the odds of someone being able to fix the hot water in a timely manner (and also were still worried about the heat). While we're grateful we received a refund, I would be wary of booking of this house unless serious upgrades are made.

Great location in Phoenicia

Our family had a lovely stay in Phoenicia at the "cozy bungalow." It was very pleasant to walk to town and the bungalow itself was indeed cozy. Enjoyed the sauna probably even more than expected after a long (cold, rainy) hike. Host provided excellent communication for any concerns.
