This unit is nicely renovated, with spacious rooms. Being so close to Soulard Market was a bonus! Street parking was not an issue. We loved having the private patio. Please be aware the two bedrooms downstairs do not have ac vents/ductwork/ceiling fans. There were two tower fans in the house, however one was upstairs and we didn't find it till checkout time. Not a deal breaker at all, but we would have swapped rooms if we knew ahead of time. Host was great with communication, even suggesting a local restaurant for us to try out. Thanks for the great stay!

The floors were extremely dirty. White socks were black after walking in them in the evening. The stove was greasy. The walls in one of the basement bedrooms had dirt smudged across them. Many of the glasses in the cabinet had lipstick and other debris on them. At least one of the beds had stained or dirty sheets and hair between the sheets The bathroom with the glass shower was missing the door so water went everywhere. The people in the upstairs unit were so loud we had to contact the host. They were not affiliated with the owners of the upper unit so were unable to make and difference. The noise went well into the late night and started up again around 4 am. The dining table and chairs were extremely loose and falling apart. They required an Allen wrench to tighten so we were unable to anything other than turn them a little by hand..
We enjoyed the time we spent together much. It was equipped with everything we needed. There were plenty of towels, dishes and utensils. Both bathrooms we great sizes and the rooms are very spacious. We had some disturbances on the first night with the party above us but after an email to our host it was addressed and we had no further issues. We were able to catch a free shuttle from Dukes bar & grill which is within walking distance from the rental to get the Busch Stadium. Some suggestions to help make the stay even better would be new darkening blinds in all the bedrooms, the amount of light that shined in through the thin broken blinds made it difficult to sleep. The downstairs needs portable air conditioning units or at least 2 large fans for each room as the rooms have no air conditioning vents which made it extremely hot especially with the door closed. I would also recommend cleaning the ceiling fans and removing the cushions to vacuum the couch. Over all we would rent this place again and enjoyed our family mini trip.
Things that were goodLocation of the place was close to just about anythingRooms were good spaceBeds were comfortableBathrooms were goodVery roomyEasy communication with managerThings that were not goodKitchen sink leakedWasher and dryer did not workDining room chairs not really sturdyMain floor bedrooms need curtains as the blinds did not keep the lights from shining in from the alley at nightGate to get in does not function wellRecommend if you have small children get a gate for the stairs for the downstairs bedrooms

The supplies were not avaiable (towel, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soup , etc.) . I am not computer or electronic communication savvy, so communication and giving and getting information was very hard. people should be able to get and give info easier.
It was not clean. Floors not swept, bathrooms were dirty, everything had a thin layer of dust on it. Ceiling fans were absolutely disgusting…However, beds did seem clean.
