Villa Mirasol sits peacefully on the Bay of Dreams know as Bahia de los Suenos Located on the Baja, looking at the Sea of Cortez. One hour drive South East from La Paz. 2 hour drive north from San Jose del Cabo International Airport. I have a driver that can pick you up. Remote & relaxing, a private get away, Right on the beach. We still have openings for May, June and July Let me make a reservation for you. Thanks Karen
5 bedrooms 5 1/2 baths. Sleeps 14 easily.
There are 5 bedrooms each with their own garden bath. The Master has a king bed , walk in closet, double shower, Jacuzzi private balcony over looking the beach and the ocean. Bedroom #2 has a king bed and its own private attached garden bathroom. It is right off the pool with a view of the ocean. Bedroom #3 has a king bed and it's own garden bath and a right off the pool with a view of the ocean. Bedroom #4 has 2 queen beds and a garden bath. Just steps from the pool with a view of the ocean. Full kitchen, stocked with dishes and cookware. The dinning and living room area Rustic furnishings from Guadalajara bring the fresh Mexico feel to life.
We have a private chef that can cook Breakfast and dinner for you. Local favorites served family style. You can let us know if you have dietary restrictions. Or you can cook for yourself, everything is there that you will need besides a trip to the grocery store. There are two restaurants that are with in walking distance of the Villa. The Buffalo is right next door and a stroll down the beach is 1535. We have two on top sea kayaks that you can use included with the rental of the home. We have 2 stand up paddle boards that you can rent by the day. Guests love the tranquil area and few people on the beach.

Best family vacation ever

This is a magical place as we felt all our stresses leave immediately as we walked into the house. All ages (18 mos- 70 yrs ) enjoyed the pool, beach, and amenities Most of all we loved the chef services and the wonderful staff.

You're going to love this!

A true vacation in one of the most beautiful settings I have ever been in. The beach is the perfect soft sand, and the water is warm. In addition, the food is wonderful as well as the service. This is definitely on my list of places to visit again.

Villa Mirasol Baja

Pristine, private beach. Beautiful rooms that open to a gorgeous patio. Wonderful chefs, so friendly and eager to please. Karen took care of every question and need we had, wonderful to work with. This rental offers plenty of space and privacy. Perfect pool. Very luxurious and peaceful. The location is so beautiful. I highly recommend this as perfect rest and beauty location.

The Bay of Dreams!!!

Our stay at Villa Mirasol was a dream. We have never been on a more fun, relaxing, exhilarating, vacation. From snorkeling, walking on the (empty) beach, to catching a 35 pound Dorado on the Sea of Cortez, the vacation made us want to return again and again. Photos cannot do the idyllic setting justice. With two great restaurants close-by and the option of in-house cooking (my recommendation), Villa Mirasol leaves no detail unattended. We will return as soon as possible!

Perfection

We had a wonderful time at Villa Mirasol! From the fresh pico when we arrived to the sourdough break we baked and the fish we grilled, it was exactly what we were hoping for! Quiet, secluded yet plenty to do! Kayaking, snorkeling or swimming in the beautiful pool! Each couple has their own space yet lots of places to go to be alone, with a small group or a whole group, the layout was perfect! Sergio was always available, Jesus even did a late night A/c check, and the ladies kept the rooms clean and fresh plus helped out with some laundry! Absolutely beautiful all thre way around!

Amazing Mexican retreat

Staying in this home was an incredible dream come true. The home is extremely clean, comfortable, and festive. The cook provided foods that were ethnic, fresh, and extremely yummy. We walked a few steps from the house and found ourselves on our own private beach where we snorkeled, fished, took boat rides, and swam. We also spent some relaxing time reading under the palapa, swimming in the eternity pool, and eating more festive food. The best nachos, enchiladas, huevos rancheros, salsa, chips and guacamole I've ever eaten! We hiked, rode 4 wheelers, and visited the near-by Mexican towns for a night of dancing and culture. I LOVED this home and hope to visit again.

True Vacation!

This is our second time vacationing at the Villa Mirasol and there's a reason for that. The pictures cannot do justice to the setting that you find yourself in when you walk into Villa Mirasol. It is a wonderful slice of heaven and a place to truly relax and enjoy a perfect vacation from the fast pace of life. The water is warm, and the beach is perfect, and you have it all to yourself! The staff is wonderful and eager to please. They take great care of you and you want for nothing. The grounds are well kept and the food is AMAZING! I would not book this without involving the chef. Definitely a favorite place when it comes to vacationing… and we’ve been on many.

Villa Mirasol is a wonderful property! I take a group of guys fishing in Baja every year and we always stay at Villa Mirasol. It is hard to believe the house is 10+ years old because it is so clean and well maintained. The staff at Villa Mirasol are very attentive to our needs without being overbearing. The location couldn't be better if privacy is a must. Villa Mirasol is situated right on a beautiful beach and there is always a lot of fun to be had, from kayaking and snorkeling to simply lounging by the private pool. There are two restaurants within walking distance. The Train Room (next door at Suenos) has good food and drinks while the restaurant up the beach (I forget the name) offers a more relaxed atmosphere. Best of all is the private chef for hire. They can cook fantastic meals for you right in the Villa Mirasol kitchen. I highly recommend utilizing this service. I have also brought my family to Villa Mirasol. In 2012 we had a group of 12 there with my dad, brothers and our children. It turned out to be a great vacation, very private and relaxing. Overall I would rate Villa Mirasol an excellent property to visit.

9 years in a row!

I travel to the Sea of Cortez a couple of times per year. I have brought a group of guys to these waters to fish for the last 13 years. We discovered Villa Mirasol 9 years ago and hav stayed nowhere else since! The house, location, and staff are simply amazing. Sergio is the house manager. We feel like we have become family. His wife, America (and Vicky too), prepare delicious meals for us daily. We are a group of 10 guys and with the 7 beds in the 5 bedrooms at Villa Mirasol we thought a few of us would be roughing it. Not the case at all! They have numerous bed-height cots with thick integrated pads that they make up with sheets and blankets. They are just as comfortable as a bed. The location is ideal for our needs. The house feels right on the water, but is actually a one minute walk from the shore, perfectly situated. The views are stunning. We fish most days and we meet our captains with their pangas just down the beach by the restaurant. It's a super easy morning trip to the boat launch. We all feel sad each time we depart Villa Mirasol in Bahia de Los Muertos, but we start planning our teturn trip to the Baja as soon as we get home!

Private paradise on Bay of Dreams

Two families totaling 13 guests spent 8 nights at Villa Mirasol. Smooth communication with Karen started our experience out on the right foot. We flew into Cabo, rented a car from Cactus Rentals (also easy to work with) and enjoyed the scenic 2 hour drive to Villa Mirasol. We were greated by Sergio (and some yummy fresh pico) who stayed in contact with us throughout the visit & even coordinated to meet with the airline delivery guy to insure our lost luggage was returned--and he provided a piñata for the kids on our last night!! The layout is great! Comfortable, homey and well decorated private spaces and common spaces; awesome pool, hot tub, and beach--with chairs and kayaks all to ourselves, it made us feel like we were on our own private island. Granted our visit was in the heat of the summer, but the rooms were cool and the pool and ocean were like a bathtub....very relaxing! The kids kept themselves occupied going between the ocean, pool, hot tub, sandy beaches, coral beaches, shell hunting, and snorkeling with colorful fish! Plenty of space to spread out--lots of solitude if wanted/needed and yet laughter and smiles abounded when we were all together. The host and hostesses were perfect--made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay....not to mention well fed---such a treat to have America & Vicki cook for us--both breakfasts and dinners had plenty of food and were very tasty. And when we cooked for ourselves, the kitchen and outdoor kitchen were perfect with plenty of dinnerware, pots and pans and utensils. Los Planes is close if you need a good Mexican hot dog, or a few food items, although if anything was needed, the staff were more than willing to help us out! (There are two restaurants near--but we were so relaxed we didn't venture out for food!) We took day trips to LaPaz (to visit family) and Cabo (son had to leave early & took kids to see the dolphins & downtown Cabo), but really, one would never need to leave Villa Mirasol as everything you need is there! Fishing was a bit slow this time of the year, but so nice to be picked up at the beach and dropped off with our catch each day. In essence, it was perfect and we can't wait to return! Thanks Villa Mirasol for sharing your paradise with us!

Paradise - on the mend

We have just returned from an amazing week at Villa Mirasol. Although temperatures were a little on the cool side while we were there, the combination of family time, the bright Mexican sun, amazing sand, beautiful setting and warm hospitality made our stay spectacular. Dealing with Karen, the owner, was great, and she was helpful in giving ideas of what to do when we get there. Sergio, the property manager was very helpful in getting us setup, helping to arrange activities (more on that later), and getting minor issues dealt with quickly. Villa Mirasol is a lovely grand home with plenty of space for our two families of 4 and could easily have handled the originally planned two more who had to cancel - or even more. The bedrooms are beautifully setup and feel like you are in a luxury resort/hotel. The beds were comfortable, sheets, bed covers and towels of high quality. The rooms were extremely clean and tidy when we arrived and maintained that way, daily, by Mirasol’s staff. This might seem intrusive to a private vacation but they really were very discrete. The common living space is very large and well setup, but a bit dated and in need of a lot of minor repairs - I emailed with the owner and she explained that the recent hurricane in Sept had done major damage outside so the extensive repairs on the exterior have been the focus - fair enough. We love cooking though, and although the appliances are high-end, and the dishes and cooking-ware of great quality, everything was a bit worse for wear. The dishwasher didn’t work, one element on the stove was intermittent, things like that. Not a huge deal, but not in keeping with the rest of the place. As we love to cook, we only had them cook one meal for us, and it was nice not to have to cook... it was tasty. Location-wise, we were a bit nervous of Mirasol being in the middle of nowhere, but it was actually fine, and made it all the more special to have the beach (almost) to ourselves, with enough to keep busy, but most of all to relax away from everything. As avid riders, Sergio arranged for horses to appear on the beach and we rode along the shore and through the dunes - amazing. We did go on a snorkeling boat trip from nearby La Ventana, and although it was lovely to be out on the water, we actually found the snorkeling 100ft down the beach from the villa to be just as good, and it was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thanks Villa Mirasol!

Luxurious property on a wonderful quiet beach

We had a glorious stay at the Villa Mirasol. It's a huge house, much bigger than it appears in the photos. 5 big bedroom suites and a very comfy living room area. The views from the property are incredible, it overlooks a beautiful, empty beach which has good snorkeling on the right hand side. Lots of things for the kids to do, there's a ping pong table and a restaurant next door that has shuffle board and pool tables. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly, the house keeper's wife and sister made us very high quality, delicious breakfasts and dinners. The swimming pool and hot tub were also fantastic. We loved the set up for having a fire on the sand, and sat outside one night and watched the incredible stars. Tons of thoughtful little touches, they've really thought of everything! The only downside were the mosquitoes, but we kept all the doors shut which helped and they provide lots of bug spray. All in all, a fantastic place to rent, we will definitely return!

Mind blown

The photos do not do this place justice. The property is just over-the-top beautiful. It is secluded. The view from the patio, over the pool, down the beach, to the ocean, is breathtaking. And you have it all to yourself! Actually, there is a wonderful bar next door, but we didn't even notice it and didn't know it existed until 3 days in to our trip! And that was only because one of my friends wandered off to explore. The villa was very comfortable - each room has it's own entrance, bathroom, and air-conditioning. It was so hot during the week of our stay, but we spent everyday alternating between the pool and the ocean. We couldn't have asked for better house staff. We were not expecting the service they provided. YOU WANT THEM TO PREPARE MEALS FOR YOU. This is not a place to pinch pennies. The house is kind of far away from everything. If we hadn't opted for the meals, we (16 adults) would likely have been eating chips for 5 days. The meals were DELICIOUS - homemade Mexican food doesn't get any better. They even made us lobster one night. And made dessert every night. Sergio, the house manager, was the perfect balance of being present but out of the way. He was always there when we had questions or needed anything (like more beer - he drove out to the store for us!), but never imposed. He made sure to check in with us daily to ask about our plans for the following day. He communicated with Palapas Ventana, the sea adventures company, for us. Palapas Ventana came and picked us up at our beach to take us snorkeling for a day! Sergio also helped a few of us set up horseback riding. He asked if we'd be interested. We said yes! On the chosen day and time, 3 men showed up to our beach with 3 horses! As indicated in my subject line, MIND BLOWN. One hang up about the villa were the directions getting there. Google maps doesn't quite know where the property is, though it gets you most of the way there. Once you get beyond entrance of the community, you're driving down a sandy, windy road that has lots of unmarked forks. Maybe both sides take you to the same place and it doesn't matter? The other minor thing - for some reason, use the kayaks was free, but use of the paddleboards was pretty darn expensive. It's a silly detail, but strange. Just can't imagine why this would be. 99.9% AMAZING. We have all promised to go back, hopefully on an annual basis, for our Villa Mirasol Reunion.

The stand up paddle boards were expensive to purchase and get to Mexico and they are much more delicate than we thought they are damaged easily. We will think about restructuring our rental price. Wedding in Marisol

This was my second trip and wow it was better than the first. Great spot to have a wedding with all family and friends. The beach and sand perfect. The pool always clean and the hot tub soaked away a soothing day in the sun. You can take snorkel trips or go right out in the bay, tons of coral and tropical fish. For the adventurers out there try a day out fishing for Marlin. I caught a trophy fish 2nd week of May. The fishing is great. The staff is awesome, food even better and with air conditioning, WiFi and satellite TV you will feel at home when the sand gets washed off in the 5 full bathrooms. I will pay for many many more trips here, favorite spot in Mexico!

Impossible to beat this

What a stunning setting! We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. Kids were entertained by the pool, hot-tub, beach, sand, and fire-pit. Surprised to find spectacular snorkeling just off the beach including coral and all sorts of tropical fish. Chartered a fishing boat which picked us up right at the property. Chef America and Vicky cooked for us a few times (they also bought the groceries and did the dishes!). Sergio took good care of us and even made a couple trips to the store to pick up a few things we needed. Secluded, quiet location but still walking distance to two restaurants. We will be back.

Relaxing, Rejuvenating Trip of a Lifetime!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Villa Mirasol. It is completely worth the travel time & expense from the airport, because you arrive and the pristine, gorgeous, secreted bay opens up to your view. The suites are well-appointed, private and comfortable. Lovely gathering spaces and wonderful pool & hot tub. The beach and ocean are incredible (go swimming at night and experience the bioluminescence magic!) The chefs create incredibly fresh, delicious, authentic food. What a find! For activity & adventure, the thrilling snorkeling right from our beach, Kayaking, paddle boarding, beach volleyball, hikes, walks and deep sea fishing fit the bill! The pleasure of having nothing more pressing than a beach chair, a lemonade and a good book was equally luring and satisfying. We vacationed with dear friends this trip, and can't wait to return with our family!

Villa Mirasol is perfection!

The journey from Los Cabos to Villa Mirasol may be a bit long but it's worth every second. I couldn't believe how beautiful and private the property was when my group of ten arrived. The secluded property easily slept each one of us and we still had room to spare. It's decorated with a classy, local feel that is as luxurious as it is comfortable. The multiple bathrooms (one in each sleeping quarter plus a guest bathroom) kept guests from feeling cramped and the spacious community areas (living room, patio, pool and outdoor veranda) afforded everyone a chance to stretch out while they relaxed. Delicious meal preparation, cleaning and maintenance services offered by Sergio's team were impeccable; they tended to everything from ensuring the hot tub was warm enough to arranging our offsite excursions (if you get a snorkel itch, make sure to request a tour from Palapas Ventana.) A short walk to the bar or restaurant on either side of the property offers a change of scenery, if desired. TIP: Make a point to wake up for sunrise at least once. I've caught a few in my day and found the view from Villa Mirasol's beach to be one of my favorites. Take the kayaks out as soon as the sun breaks the horizon and you'll be treated to a symphony of dancing fish catching their morning meals.

Beautiful!!

What an amazing house. Secluded and luxurious. This rental is the best of both worlds, of the beaten path with amenities galore. The staff is wonderful and made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The food is amazing, be sure to request the mole. Do not hesitate book your trip!

Absolutely Spectacular!

Once you arrive, you won't want to leave! This home is off the beaten path but we had no trouble finding it. We enjoyed this home for Spring Break with 4 adults and 5 kids. We took advantage of the chefs for some meals, cooked for ourselves for some and walked to the cantina right next door for others. I can't say enough about Sergio, Linda and America who tended to our every need and fed us well. This home would be enjoyed by anyone. The pool was a perfect size, the beach was beautiful and the sunsets were breathtaking. We paddle boarded, Kayaked, snorkeled, walked the beach, explored the rocks, spearfished and even had a nightly soccer game on the beach. I would highly recommend this house! Karen was easy to work with and the staff was fantastic. We will be back! Since the home is on a resort it would be possible to have a large family reunion in this location as the resort offers additional locations for guests and Villa Mirasol has an expansive outdoor living space to gather.

Don't miss this place

Stayed for a week in July. Absolutely beautiful. The nicest beach I have ever seen. Warm water, private, it was an incredible dream vacation. Professionally managed, this is the place for movie stars and royalty. We used the cook for breakfast and dinner, the food was fresh and fantastic. What a way to relax either under the palapa, in the immaculately cleaned pool or walking on the beach, this place has it all. The entire staff was professional and friendly. We will be back

I enjoyed overseeing the construction of Villa Mirasol in 2000. We had a fun time in Guadalajara gathering lovely furnishings for the Villa. I love managing Villa Mirasol and working with my staff in Mexico. Sergio our house manager will greet you on your arrival and help you settle into the villa. America does a wonderful job as our Chef if you choose to order this service ahead. We give each guest individual attention to make their vacation memorable. Villa Mirasol is my favorite spot to visit.
We are currently doing a charity project for the near by Boarding School/orphanage. There is a great way you can help. Bring your used clothing to donate to the children of poor rural farmers in the surrounding area. All sizes up to adult. Just bring them with you and give them to Sergio and he would be happy to deliver them to the school. They are always in need of cleaning supplies, and school supplies if you would like to do a little more.
This school makes it possible for the children of the ranchers to attend school. They are too far away to make the journey to school everyday. So their parents drop them off on Monday and pick them up on Friday. There is a great need in rural Mexico. It is a chance to make a small difference. Thanks Karen

Why they chose this property

The beach is the real draw here and the house is a bonus, . . . a wonderful bonus! We have been coming to the Baja for years. We loved the area and remember one of our first flights to the nearby Punta Pescaero. There is where we fell in love with the people, the Sea of Cortez. When this project was developed were were awestruck by how beautiful the bay was. This property is unique because of it's peaceful location. It is far away from the crowds. Sometimes when you are on a stroll down the beach you might find you are the only one there. The furnishings are delightful, really Mexico and made for comfort. I love to sit on the patio by the pool under the shade palapa to view the ocean and feel the breeze.
