I reserved the studio for a month, and the host was kind and responsive. Mike greeted me at check-in, provided extra clean towels and supplies, and was understanding whenever I reached out.Future guests, particularly those traveling alone, may want to note that the property is on a busy street with bars nearby, so the area can get active in the evenings. Parking could be easier, as there was a vehicle next to the designated space with a wheel lock that remained there for the duration of my stay, which contributed to the overall feel of the area. The property also notes that cameras and audio recording are in place for security.Overall, the host was accommodating, and I’d recommend that future guests keep the location and parking situation in mind.

Good for a short stay

The place was advertised correctly. It's enough space for two people really. There is a Keurig machine but no pods, sugar, or creamer. So heads up, you want to bring your own. Very cute and clean room. The bed was firm, but we slept very well! We had a great time time!titlilHouston.

Good but not the best

The stay was nice for the most part. The only issues we had were that there wasnt really hot water. We would have to turn the sink on to get hot water. In doing so we noticed that the sink in the bathroom leaks and water went everywhere. The wifi wasnt active so we ended up having to use our hotspots to access tv shows or check work for updates. Conected the host to request to stay just through the weekend and never heard back. Overall okay stay, wouldn't recommend gor more than a weekend but for the price we paid, i cant really complain.

Could have been much better

I rented this place for my birthday weekend bc I didn't have a lot of money and it could've been much nicer. The property manager was communicative until he didn't wanna be. There was absolutely not heater as advertised. I had to spend what little money I had on a 50 heater bc I stayed Jan 24-27 when it was under 40 and snowing. Refrigerator didn't work and my leftovers from my birthday dinner went bad (it was all I had to eat the next day). The wifi server listed did not exist when I got there, so the smart TV was essentially useless. The speaker there didn't work. Microwave didn't work. Warm water seemed to take forever when I tried to take a shower. Room was at least clean. Bed was comfortable. I was also not refunded.

Not up to par

The location was perfect and the place could be great but there were some major issues. First the electronic keypad on the front door didn’t work so I couldn’t lock the property whenever I left. It was unlocked when I got there and is on a busy high traffic street which was not very reassuring. It could have been just dead batteries in the lock but I messaged and called the owner and got no response even after 2 days. Second, I realize it’s Texas and it’s usually warm there but the unit had no heat. Two working AC units but no heat and the weather was cold so it was like 45 degrees in there. To top the weekend off the TV only said “no connection”, the WiFi name was “undiscoverable” and the password supplied wasn’t right for the only WiFi address that appeared and finally the microwave was broken. I only stayed 1 out of the 3 nights.

Hey Will, Thank you for your feedback!! I appreciate your honesty. Regarding the keypad, batteries had died unknowingly to us. I understand how frustrating that must have been. For future reference, there are additional contact numbers listed on your itinerary and on our VRBO site as well I believe. The contact numbers are there so you can quickly reach someone if an issue arises and we’re not immediately available via VRBO messaging. We have property management on call and usually on property, or close by, as well. We want to ensure you’re always supported during your stay. As for the Wi-Fi, it seemed to be working fine on our end, so it may have been a glitch with the TV. Again, reaching out via one of those numbers could have helped us troubleshoot this for you right away. I also wanted to mention that space heaters are available for your comfort, and if the microwave wasn’t functioning, it may simply have needed to be plugged in. I’ll ensure everything is double-checked moving forward to prevent similar issues for future guests. I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced, especially since this unit is one of our top-rated spaces. Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly if you’d like to discuss this further.

The room was relatively nice, and the bed was comfortable, and I understand that we chose this as a budget accommodation and you get what you pay for, however: Check-in was at 4. I called at 1 to ask about early check-in, and got no answer. I e-mailed and still no response. At 3:15, having only been given minimal communications to check-in, I got nervous and called Expedia's customer service, who put me in touch with Vrbo's customer service, who put me in touch with the property manager at a different contact number than was listed. The property manager, Sarah, was very nice, but told me she hadn't gotten notification from the owners that the room was rented. To her credit, she responded ASAP to go and make sure the room was clean and reset, and largely did a good job. However, she told us she'd come back with more supplied, as there was no toilet paper and the wi-fi wasn't working, and she never did. Additionally, the locks on the door absolutely don't work, the shower water never got warm, and the place wasn't heated. Sarah was very nice and relatively responsive, but this place has "absentee owner who took a property investing course by some youtuber he follows and does the bare minimum to set up a cashflow investment" written all over it. I usually never leave bad reviews, but no wi-fi, toilet paper, hot water, heat, or locking doors all weekend made me do it. If I were higher maintenance, I would've complained about more.
