Such a cute and cozy cabin! Had a blast basing out of here for our Valentine's ski weekend. The hot tub was an added bonus for soothing our skiing aches.

Everything was perfect. The location was just remote enough that we felt away from the world.

Beautiful home. Pictures are exactly as shown in the post. So close to several caverns, shopping and the Shenandoah National Park. Loved the fire pit and hot tub at night. Bring bug spray you are in the woods and a secluded area.

Mountain get away

Very rural which we like but motorcycles can’t get to the property. Hard on small cars too. Water was stinky. Overall had a great time!

Beautiful Cabin

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, fully updated cabin. From the moment we arrived, we could feel the care and attention that went into every detail. The interior was modern yet cozy, with all the comforts of home—and then some. Two things really stood out - the host was incredibly responsive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay. It was clear they’d thought of everything. The second - the pictures were 100% accurate. So often, online listings can be a little misleading, but not here. What you see is exactly what you get: a stunning, peaceful retreat in a gorgeous natural setting.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

Why they chose this property

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Golden Woods in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
