I’m so pleased that you enjoyed your get away. We have not increased our rental rate since we began several years ago because we want folks to be able to afford some rest & relaxation. Thank you for taking the time to submit a review.
The one-room schoolhouse was a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding Ozark trails and views. Halfway between the Buffalo National Senic River and cool Eureka Springs.
Property with lots of history and in the middle of absolute nowhere! It seemed like we could see every star in the sky. Great getaway with Buffalo River trails and elk sightings nearby. Local eatery in Kingston was great. Great to get away from Tv and social media for a few days.
It was an amazing get away to unwind and unplug. The school house is exactly how it's advertised, clean, cozy and quaint. Keith was friendly and a great host. We hope to return in the future. Huntsville is a charming small town and worth checking out. Lots of hiking close by.

It is my greatest pleasure to see folks be able to unwind and relax. I hope you can visit again sometime soon. Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to submit a review.
The host was very accommodating. When we told him we were having a.c issues he fixed immediately. The property has so much history in it. The location was great, so quiet & serene .
Staying in a one room school was an interesting experience. I wish we had had more time to explore the immediate area but we were too busy trying to take in so many of the sights nearby. We visited Terra Studios near Elkins. Crystal Bridges, War Eagle Mill, and Eureka Springs. Harrison is a good central location so maybe next time we can explore to the east for some more lovely parts of Arkansas.
We loved staying at this old schoolhouse. Kitchen was just right to make our meals. Heaters kept us warm on the chilly nights. Star gazing was amazing! Keith is a great host. 25 minutes to get to the Buffalo National River area and enjoyed several hiking trails. As a former school teacher it was a fun experience!

This was most definitely better than staying at some expensive hotel. It was quiet, private, and quaint. All we had to bring were our clothes and a few groceries. It was absolutely perfect and romantic and we will be booking again when close to that area. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! The host, Keith, was precious and accommodating! The best!
The only issue I had was the phone number that VBRO had for contact completely wrong number, that being said had nothing to do with the property itself the owner Keith I will remember the rest of my days just simply an Awesome individual.

Very unique property. Renovated OLD Schoolhouse. Very quaint and quiet. loved the deck where you could watch the stars...sooooo many stars lol. I know there aren't more stars in the country, but you can certainly see more of them at night here! We were on our 1st year anniversary and had a fabulous time!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this unique historic schoolhouse. The owner provided everything we could possibly require and the property was exactly as described in the listing. The schoolhouse was central to all of the activities that we wanted to do and a peaceful place for some rest and relaxation. We enjoyed having dinner and watching the fireflies from the spacious front porch and taking evening walks along the tree lined country roads. Mr. Keith was a gracious host and we felt so welcome. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful, historic property! Keith, the owner, has done a fantastic job of renovating an 1891 school house into an amazing vacation rental. This place has everything you need to stay however long you want to; fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, nice shower with no trouble getting and keeping hot water, washer and dryer, microwave, deck, small grill...awesome! It was cloudy when we were there, but this would be a wonderful spot to enjoy the stars while sitting on the deck. We also enjoyed the historical books in the living room area. There are dates and pictures and copies of teacher registers back to 1915. So cool! Really, I can't say enough good things about this place. We loved it!

Wasps inside when arrived. Killed 7 with a fly swatter. No hot water in shower at night or in morning after leaving it run for 20 min. Bought wasp/hornet spray. Location should be explained in description of place. Very remote and down a dirt road. May not be a good place for single people. Asked for a 1 night refund due to wasps and hot water, was denied. (Crappy way to treat customers, since our daughter lives in Huntsville and we'll be back 2x /yr.)Should have checked place same day before anyones arrival. Hard to miss the wasps! Sk
This charming schoolhouse is located on private property down a couple of country dirt roads. It's quiet, off-the-beaten-path, and about 30 minutes away from Huntsville. The excellent host, Keith, is very hospitable, knowledgeable about the area, and made sure my stay was absolutely perfect. He even brought me delicious fresh eggs from his chickens! If you're looking to get away from hectic city life and destress, then this is the perfect place for you! You will see (and hear) an abundance of wildlife right from the deck of the schoolhouse - numerous birds, frogs, deer, horses, cows, fireflies, and even a roadrunner that visits. It's located close to a bunch of trailheads if you want to hike and about 30 minutes from Ponca if you want to canoe or kayak on the Buffalo River. At night, there is practically no light pollution if stargazing if your thing. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer!!!

Makes my soul smile to see folks slow down, relax, and enjoy the sounds of silence. Hoping you can visit again soon.
The little schoolhouse exceeded our expectations! It was more adorable than the pictures show and the property was beautiful. Super clean! We came in August so it got a bit hot in the room by the bed but by the second night we figured out the a/c and propped up a fan and it was fine after that. We enjoyed using the little grill every night and watching the sunset and stars come out even saw a meteorite shower! The location is perfect if you’re trying to disconnect, rest and relax. Everything we wanted to explore was a beautiful 30-60 minute drive. Cell service is very spotty so just be prepared to not be in touch as easy as us city folk are used to. Keith was very informative about the area and let us explore his property a bit. We visited with the cows, chickens and beavers that are in his pond down the hill. I only wish we had more time to stay in this little slice of heaven!
