What a great experience! As “city folk,” we weren’t sure what to expect, but boy, we were just thrilled. Very rustic cabin and setting, but super comfortable. I had to get used to a few things, but it was just great. Terry explains everything in detail. When I reached out to him with a small issue, he replied promptly and explained exactly what to do. Highly recommended!! Thank you Terry!

Thank you for your review, however 6/10 seems harsh considering low water pressure and no shower are detailed in my listing which you should have read prior to book. Once again I urge guests to please read the full description prior to book. Thanks, Terry.
This cabin is perfect if you want something remote and private surrounded by nature. It’s very cozy, and has a great covered and screened in porch with a fireplace. It was a little warm inside (we stayed late July), but that was expected. WiFi worked great. Driveway is very steep but manageable, just be prepared for it. Host was very sweet and helpful as well.

I'm so glad y'all enjoyed your stay! You left the cabin in great shape, I appreciate your attention to the details in the property guide!!
Great example of how to live in the middle of a gorgeous forest in an off grid home and still have the modern excesses we now expect. Owner is exceedingly pleasant and very accommodating having printed procedures to make the best use of the cabin and is available and responsive to any needs you may have. We cooked meals every night, full basic kitchen. If you are hooked on news and movies there is tv service but try bringing a book and cozy up on the screened in deck where if there is a chill you can light a fire on the wood fireplace on the deck.we loved it! One warning: with a gravity flow water system the pressure is less than stellar but workable, wait for your hour long shower at pin you again the wall pressure till you get home. This is not an old fisherman's cabin but instead an eclectic collection of furnishings with a comfortable bed. Bring a happy attitude and enjoy!

Really nice getting to meet these lovely guests. I'm always thrilled when visitors "get it" - the type of cabin and property I'm sharing. They fulky appreciate the setting and cabin-style I'm offering.
My daughters and I had a wonderful time, and the cabin was exactly the way it appeared in the pictures. It is a quiet and peaceful cabin which is just what we wanted .
If you are looking for a true cabin experience this is it! Once you get to the top of the winding driveway (bring your mountain climbing vehicles) you’ll find a quaint cabin on the mountain top surrounded by woods and nature. The cabin is beautiful inside, loved the blend of country and antique, the bathroom is beautiful! Beautiful tub so expect to soak the stress away, no shower but we didn’t need one. Just know to read all of the instructions as there are some details you will need to know regarding water, air, and manual labor. You’re making coffee or tea the old fashioned way on the stove for instance. But remember you are out in the middle of the woods. Enjoy the nature on the screened in porch, that’s the best spot.
This property provides a “getaway” location that is secluded and rustic. Sitting on the screened in porch is like sitting in a forest. The porch fireplace was a big hit for morning coffee and cool evenings. The cabin provided us with everything we needed to kickback and relax. We did explore the area around Abington and rode the Virginia Creeper Trail. We also spent time around South Holston Dam. The cabin provided us easy access to all.
Cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Terry was extremely helpful with surprise flowers for my wife! Cabin was clean and had everything ready for us! Its was a great experience!
This is such a beautiful cabin. So rustic and secluded. Definitely recommend having four wheel drive to get to property, but other than that, it is perfect.
This is a great property! It’s a quiet, clean and comfortable getaway. We had a relaxing time and the owner is readily available to answer questions if you have any.
My husband and I returned to Terry’s cabin for a second time. This time was just as nice as the first time. If you are seeking a quiet retreat in nature this hits the spot.
Terry was great about making sure that our stay went smooth. The cabin was clean, beautiful and so relaxing. The views was incredible. Our favorite spot was the back deck. It was so peaceful out there.
