Mountainside Cabin

The cabin was definitely spacious!! Beds were soft and comfortable. Everyone slept well. The mountain views were spectacular!! My only setback was the road up to the cabin. It's unpaved, narrow and steep. Truly going up a mountainside!! Neighboring farm animals walk back and forth across the road, so you have to be super slow. I was very happy to have good weather, otherwise, we could have been stuck in inclement conditions.

Cozy Family Gathering

We had a great time at this cabin. My brother's wedding was in a town nearby. We had family traveling from miles around. This home was cozy, clean and a comfortable fit for our families. We ended our weekend around the campfire.

Good Stay..It can be much better

5th bedroom don’t have any fan/AC unit so it is totally wasted..2nd bedroom on 1st floor is has a old iron bed and is not comfortable to sleep….locks of Bathroom doors on 1st floor are not working.. To reach Property we have to drive 1.2 miles on unpaved hilly road..but you can see wildlife and beautiful peacocks on the way.. Overall..not disappointed..we have a nice stay..

We needed a family get away to reset for a few days and just be together, this gave us just that.

Getting the rental was made easy, the property is very remote, if you want to go off the grid for a bit, this is it! The home is very comfortable and cozy with plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed our stay and the time together, the drive into the nearest town gives you more than a Google search lets on and the locals are very nice.

Great Get Away

This home was a great get away, we loved the cabin feel and secluded location. The bugs were a big turn down, there were dead and living roaches behind curtains, on window ledges, and corners. Many dead bugs seemed to have been there for a long time and just weren't removed/cleaned. Aside from the pest experience, we loved out stay. There is a fire pit out back and small trails around the property!

Fine ski trip

It is a great property with plenty of room, way more then we needed due minute cancellations. Great scenery and a great drive to Canaan Valley ski area.

Weekend away

We enjoyed the property for our quick jaunt out of the DC area. The main living spaces were spacious, to allow for two families to socialize comfortably. The kids enjoyed sledding in the front yard. The owners warned us ahead about the potentially icy drive up to the house and plowed to make it a little less slippery, and stopped by for a quick visit to check on us. The kitchen cabinets could use a good wipe down, but otherwise, we found the place clean.

Great stay

The house is great. Very clean. The owner is extremely nice and made sure we had firewood delivered to us while on vacation in the Bahamas. The house was very clean and was a great place to stay for a quiet weekend away from the city.

Beautiful Escape

Our family comfortably stayed in thIs beautiful cabin nestled on the side of a mountain. We went for quiet walks in the woods and enjoyed coffee on the porch. This was the perfect getaway from the busyness of life for everyone! Our only regret was that we didn't book it for longer! Hoping to visit again soon!

Had a great stay. Well furnished and clean. Beautiful location. Great view of the distant mountains. Only minor issues: No Wifi (did have limited extended verizon service and ATT worked a little better) and driveway is a challenge (1.0 mile steep dirt single lane road, glad I had rented a Truck). Rooster down the street will remind you your in the country very early in the morning. Would definitely stay there again.

Very charming place in the middle of wilderness

The house is great - we were able to find everything we needed, and everyone felt very comfortable staying there. The only downside is that there is a very old and scary looking building right next to the house with old cars and work vehicles in a very poor condition left behind. It was a little unpleasant and was ruining otherwise very picturesque surroundings.

Stunning home!

This home is absolutely beautiful and inviting. It was the perfect place to stay with my family. Tyler was fantastic in answering my questions and was a wonderful host. The house is on top of a mountain and gives an absolutely wonderful view of the stars at night while enjoying the fire pit that is offered there. I would definitely rent this home again if ever in the area.

Excellent Trip

The house is a beautiful property and we had an excellent time with our family and friends. The house is in a gorgeous location with lots of activities in the area. Our kids loved the farm, the woods and the beautiful views. The owners were very gracious and responsive to our needs and made it a very comfortable stay. We would come here again and would highly recommend a large group to stay in the house with lots of space and amenities. We had a campfire in the backyard and this has been the kids most memorable activity.

Awesome location and house

We loved the house very much. It's on top of a hill and secluded. Gives you all the privacy and freedom. The owners are awesome. They personally came to welcome us and responded to all our queries immediately. Planning to come back soon.

Beautiful Home, Serene Location, Amazing Vacation

This beautiful home in Petersburg was absolutely wonderful and more than we could have ever expected. We brought a group of adults and children for a long weekend and were very amazed. The home is set far back in a beautiful and quiet location. Many of us have never experienced such a quiet and serene place. Watching the stars at night was amazing as there were absolutely no lights around. The home was set up perfect for our group, beautifully decorated and very clean. The bedrooms were very nice and perfect for us! The owners were kind and easily accessible for questions and concerns, and even left a kind note and cookies for the start of our visit. We spent many of our days relaxing at the home, but it is also centrally located and near other outdoors activities, which we visited. We would very much recommend this beautiful home in Petersburg for a unique home away from home and very relaxing trip. We hope to visit again soon and thank the owners for their kind hospitality.

Great place!

the location is great, it is up a hill to a remote area. Very large inside and we were extremely comfortable (14 of us). The place exceeded all of our expectations, Our Kids had a blast playing board games and lots of hiking on near by locations(driving to). The owners are very friendly, calling to make sure all is well and extremely flexible with our plans. Thank you and we will likely return!

Amazing home!!

This home and property was amazing! We will be coming back for sure! Everything we could have needed was provided for us and even a large basket of fruit was left by the owners for us to enjoy! The home was more than we imagined! We really enjoyed the large back yard and the incredible view! The fire pit was great and they even provided plenty of firewood! We will be returning for sure! Peaceful Getaway

We just had a wonderful weekend staying here. There were 3 families in our group and we all loved it. The kids enjoyed playing soccer and football in the yard, we had a bon fire in the back yard, and went hiking in Smoke Hole Canyon. This is a very well maintained, clean and spacious home. The owners were fantastic hosts - very responsive and welcoming. We hope to escape the busy city life and return here for another peaceful getaway again!

Incredible house and property!

This home was so beautiful and exceeded all of our expectations! Has such a homey and cozy feel to it but was so much bigger than the pictures indicate, we were all pleasantly surprised. Kitchen was well stocked and the whole place had a lovely cabin decor. The front and back yard were very big, lots of room to lounge, play sports, etc...great fire pit. The drive up the mountain showcases a quick tour of the local dwellings, but keep going up and you'll find this wonderful rental. We had such a fun time. Great hiking/fishing, etc not too far away also. Even a thoughtful handwritten welcome note when we arrived, with delicious snacks! Thank you so much!
