Love the layout of the property! Plenty of room for family to spread out with awesome gathering spaces. The chef kitchen was perfect for the chef we hired and we loved being able to hang out in the kitchen and watch the preparations. Lovely home—front porch rocking chairs were well utilized with morning coffee!! Would definitely stay at this property again!
Stay was nice. House was beautiful overall, and property manager was easy to communicate with. However, the pool was dirty upon arrival and the heater was left on, making it too hot to swim for the first part of the trip. The remotes for the TVs did not work either.

Liked: Check-in
We stayed here for a long weekend in Feb and had our microwedding in the front yard. Overall we enjoyed our stay and liked the decor and vibe, but quite a few things went wrong too. The major issues were that the AC went out on the first night, so it was super stuffy and hot upstairs. The pool / hot tub area was dirty and filled with leaves the first day as well, so we couldn't use it until the second night. On the last night, the heat for the hot tub went out with no instructions on how to get it back on.There was a generally unkempt vibe: piles of mail at the front entrance, a large stain on the ground in the back patio, the batteries in the TV remote were dead, dead plants outside that needed pruning, one of the chairs and banisters were broken, the lights in the fridge were all out. For a property this expensive, we were pretty shocked at the lack of attention to detail.
My extended family (15 people total) stayed at The Grand NOLA Estate over the past weekend (10/31-11/3). The house is amazing and unique. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen and the pool/hot tub. The location on Bayou Road is great: a safe, quiet area near the Bayou St. John neighborhood and a short drive to the French Quarter. The hosts were particularly warm, welcoming and supportive. Entry, check-in and check-out were all easy and the hosts were very responsive when I had any issues. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of kitchen supplies/tables/glasses etc. There are two front-loading clothes washers and laundry supplies on the second floor. My only warning to future guests is that the internet is not strong in the kitchen or living room areas of the house. I let the hosts know and they sent a technician to the house within the hour to ensure nothing needed to be fixed. I would stay at the house again in a heartbeat.
